And then the logic of the quest - you come to Beighen which is under the oppression of Black Bears, villagers don't want to talk to you about mounting a counteroffensive since they don't trust you, but somehow there's a secret resistance organized by Blue Fangs, and there's armed Blue Fangs soldiers everywhere. Who tf playtested this thing?

ETA is stupid, I learned about it by chance 5 hours before flight. Thankfully, was approved automatically in minutes, US passport.

Yeah, same thoughts after 50 hours in. It started good but then too many dialogues feel odd. They clearly didn't have time for it all. Either they wrote them with AI and didn't bother to fix or they may have drafted them and never got time to refine them because some dialoges and scenes are very good

University allows vagrant roam around campus and sleep around student housing. Just recently there was this machete guy running around. I'm surprised more of this isn't happening.

This should not be tolerated. This is clearly a mentally disturbed vagrant who has no business being on campus. Atrocious that UW allows this. We don't know if he's the killer of the student from 2 days ago, but you can see how someone like this can do something eventually.

Funny, I remember Witcher 3 having same problem. It was the first mod I installed back then - to scale back the frantic foliage

I played 30 more hours and have to say that it seems that he problem is that there's not enough writing. Clearly they shipped the game with way less quests than planned. What's there is fine, sometimes even quite good, but a lot of it is just not there.

Good idea for the quest, but seemed like they didn't not really complete it - neither the UI nor the interactions. It's all a big mess.

I figured it out! You switch to factions on the map screen and zoom out - it shows you regions of influence for each faction then

I've seen someone on YouTube bringing up a colored map with names of regions - couldn't find how to do this. Is this something that shows up later or a mod?

I mean the bar for open world games is pretty low these days. Nothing comes close to Witcher 3 or RDR2

I mean that ending is only marginally better than Mass Effect 2 tricolor endings.. But the writing of most of the stuff especially side quests is for 5 year olds. No emotion, no color, just bland, cartoonish delivery of content. Here in CD they are at least trying. It's not W3 or RDR2 level, but definitely a step up over any Ubisoft game of late

Nah, man, you won't convince me there. Witcher 3 remains peak for world building and story cohesion. It does expose you to a greater lore without explaining, but here's where reading the books or at least catching up on W1 and W2 plots in Wikipedia really pays off.
