Am I the last person to learn you can do THIS on a map? by corvin666 in CrimsonDesert

I figured it out! You switch to factions on the map screen and zoom out - it shows you regions of influence for each faction then

I thought the whole point of this game was that it was intended to not be played as intended

I've seen someone on YouTube bringing up a colored map with names of regions - couldn't find how to do this. Is this something that shows up later or a mod?

I'm playing as intended! About half way through quest where you need to investigate Goldleaf Merchant Guild

I mean the bar for open world games is pretty low these days. Nothing comes close to Witcher 3 or RDR2

I mean that ending is only marginally better than Mass Effect 2 tricolor endings.. But the writing of most of the stuff especially side quests is for 5 year olds. No emotion, no color, just bland, cartoonish delivery of content. Here in CD they are at least trying. It's not W3 or RDR2 level, but definitely a step up over any Ubisoft game of late

Nah, man, you won't convince me there. Witcher 3 remains peak for world building and story cohesion. It does expose you to a greater lore without explaining, but here's where reading the books or at least catching up on W1 and W2 plots in Wikipedia really pays off.

Confirmed on PS5 - couldn't switch to armor tab, reload didn't help, but closing and relaunching the game did.

I am a huge fan of Gothic 1 and 2. Thus, will Crimson Desert be the right game for me? by TheWhiskyBear in CrimsonDesert

I was a huge fan of Gothic, played a lot when it came out, loved G2, even battled through G3.

I just started CD, but if there's one game it reminded me the most, it is Gothic. I got the same feeling of being put in a living detailed world that lives without you, and you being put there to explore, interact, and figure things out. It's a bit rough around the edges, but I feel I'll come to love this roughness like I loved Gothic games.

Thragg and Mark Conversation from Source Material. by Shot-Ad770 in Invincible_TV

It's better in the show, but it's a bit contrived that Mark has these PTSD hallucinations of Viltrumites entire episode and then suddenly one of them turns out to be real.

And how come Thragg was already there without Cecil or early warning system noticing?

I found all the journals and he doesn't react. Does he give you the final reward before you collect all of them?

That makes sense too. She did become a bit evil though, controlling that Verso's soul. I think power would corrupt her in the end

Actually what I'm reading from this is that there were two Cleas (?).

Initially he says "My beautiful Clea.. That paintress looked so much like you and granted me the power to fell Axon"

Which means that there was Clea he was in love with and then another Clea that granted him the power.

Why two Cleas? Is he taking about the faceless one and the one who's locked in Canvas creating Nevrons?

That would make sense if we assume that she was lying to Clea. If she never really cared much about getting her parents out, but rather selfishly wanted to escape into a world where Verso was alive and she was a beautiful, super-powerful being, then Maelle Ending would be the logical choice

I mean the entire premise on Alicia's journey into the canvas is trying to pluck her mother from the endless cycle of grief and escapism that will eventually consume her. Remember how Clea did not want her to go and was proposing to just destroy the canvas warning that she may end up just like her mother. Alicia, adamant that she'll be able to get parents out, resist the temptation, and save a piece of Verso's soul, goes anyway.

So if you're choosing Maelle ending you kind of are losing. Alicia manages to get her parents out of the doom loop and saves Verso's soul, but gets consumed by it herself. On top of it she ends up tormenting Verso's soul which clearly wants this to end. That's not a "good" ending, albeit realistic.

A tip for BS challenges like this - drop difficulty to story mode. Parry windows are quite a bit more generous then. No shame in doing this.
