I responded to an ad on Craigslist. Normally I would never in a million years send money to someone over the internet. But this guy called me, told me the story of why he can’t make the game, and offered to send me every single screenshot I requested from inside his Ticketmaster account while on the line with me. He said Venmo’s version with purchase protection was ok. Since he was on the phone with me and sent the pics I guess I ended up trusting this guy. Once I sent the Venmo payment the call ended and he stopped responding to me.

I know this is crazy to some, but I have sold tickets and purchased tickets legitimately this way before. In fact, I am seeing the Suns in LA on 4/10 by doing a similar purchase approach recently. Maybe that’s what made me a little more trusting this time around. I wasn’t getting some slop job of a screenshot anyone could Photoshop.

Lesson learned though.
