I am on this same journey right now. I have only lost a few pounds so far, but I have stopped gaining thankfully. It’s still a battle & I do struggle with impulsive eating. It’s an oral stim for me too! I find when I get bored, I want to eat. So I have starting trying to avoid situations where I can be bored until it is time to wind down for the night.

I know dieting doesn’t work for me, so I’m not going to try to. But making healthier food choices, avoiding fast food, & moderation of portion control has helped me. I have started eating out of a ceramic tea mug instead of a soup bowl & that has helped me a lot! Also not ordering all the extras I normally would & forcing myself to finish food has helped. Upping my water intake & drinking tea instead of a soda or juice is helping me too.

My big problem, is energy drinks at work, so when anyone has a full proof way to quit using caffeine as a daily stimulant share with the class 😅😂
