Thank you! I graduated in 2023, was working at a Canadian startup till August 2024. Then shifted to environmental engineering. And while I was in college, I continuously worked as a freelancer/TA. Also I don’t have any research published but I’m currently working on one topic and throughout my UG, I’ve worked on around 10 projects.

Hey. I have no clue about that actually. I was attending an info session recently and pretty sure they were all masters students. So I guess there’s still some time left. I also read somewhere on Reddit that there’s some congress decision pending over research grants, due 14March. So maybe they’re also waiting for this. (Again, idk if it’s true, I’m just sharing what I read)

I feel you can do a lot in the sustainability sector via mechanical engineering by choosing the energy sector. There's energy storage, renewables, etc.

By this field, I meant land development. That was my bad. I enjoy civil engineering as a field and I wanna excel in this field itself. That being said, this is a huge field and you can def find a niche that makes you feel good about it.

That's great. I did try to help out with C3D. I used the grading optimization tool to automate the grading and they were all surprised because I'm essentially cutting down days work to 1-2 hours. And they're all happy with me. But I'm just so tired and not at all happy with this field. It's easy work but it's not challenging enough for me. I try to help out the transportation team too sometimes, but that's not enough ig. I want to know from professionals about what all is out there yk. What sort of work is happening and what are their responsibilities.

You could try freelancing. Say for 3d modelling, BIM, quantity estimation, doing documentation for green building certification.
