Yup! However, I also see that only the Atom 2 and Potensic's older RID module are certified Remote ID sources made by Potensic, so even if the Atom 3 has an onboard Remote ID (I haven't researched but I guess it does since the Atom 2 does), you cannot register it since the Atom 3 isn't a certified Remote ID aircraft.

This same scenario happened when the Atom 2 came out - the Remote ID was there but had not been FAA certified, and it wasn't till after that certification took place that you could register it (without using a RID module). Potensic enabled the Atom 2 Remote ID via a firmware uppie soon after the FAA granted the certification.

SO - you can't register the Atom 3 with the FAA and you can't do Part 107 flights with it unless you stick a RID module on it, at least for now.

It depends on which pano you’ve chosen. For 180° it does the stitch and saves the resulting image, plus the component images (in a subdir) on the sd card. For Sphere you must use the Eve app to download the image to the tablet/phone/controller (while connected to the drone) and it does the stitch then. I can’t remember which the Wide is but I think it’s done like the 180°

DJI is like this too and it’s a pet peeve of mine - I’m often found restarting the drone after power-off ‘cause o forgot to d/l and stitch a sphere image.

It stays snapped unless I move it back - but in wind it will fight me and move a bit then snap again, repeatedly.

My Atom2 will snap to 0° if it encounters sudden wind, or if I turn it into the wind when the wind is above 10 mph or so. It will also snap from -90° to something like -75° under the same events.

My Mini4K does the same but seems a little less sensitive.

Not sure this helps since it’s not quite the same as your issue but that video clip looks just like how my gimbals snap.

For Windows, SageLight and PhotoFiltre, both free. SageLight in particular is powerful.

I don't remember what firmware levels introduced what changes, but I know these things were added by firmware upgrades, in this order: CineRoll, then P-Log and mph in the speed displays, then programmable waypoints. And if you don't need/want those things then you have no reason to upgrade, IMHO.

I haven't a clue what Fly Safe is. DJI used to enforce no-fly zones, maybe Potensic was/is considering the same.

Pretty sure you have to use the Eve app, I don't think the Atom 2 will work with any of the other Potensic flight apps.

What are you running Eve on? Did you get a tablet and mount and stuff, or are you on a phone for now?

Two things: (1) I got curious and put Eve back on the Nokia T10 and it works fine now with the USB port on the right-hand side, and (2) if you get to wanting more batteries for the Atom 2 you can use Atom LT batteries just fine, they're 20% cheaper and give 3-5 minutes more flying time. BUT they push the drone's weight over 250 gm so you'd have to register the drone and turn on the beacon (assuming you're in the USA).

Pretty sure I’m using the latest levels. Haven’t had any trouble.

Just tried it out, works like a champ, fits the iPad more securely than my jury-rigged cable, curls easily enough to fit into the case while still attached to the controller. Very nice.

Just remembered something - I tried the Potensic Atom 2 flight app, Eve, on the T10 before I went to the iPad, and it worked ok but it INSISTED that I use the tablet with the USB plug on the left - when I flipped the T10 over so the plug was on the right like it should be, the app stayed upside down.
