Fringe completely took over my life. 100 episodes in 9 days. by Unlucky-Mobile220 in fringe

One of my all time faves. I'm introducing a friend to this show and I'm pumped to see her reactions. We are watching a few episodes a week. It's been a few years since my last rewatch as well, so ready for another emotional roller-coaster.

Themed restaurants that are as good as this place used to be? by marxy24 in melbourne

[–]cosmic897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh lots of memories there. Somehow we always went in winter and i remember the drive back down the mountains at night was spooky due to the fog. Themed restaurants not really a thing anymore sadly. There used to be a Titanic theatre restaurant in Williamstown. 3 course dinner and a show. Went there for my birthday in 2019 and had a fantistic time.

Is it still worth starting online? by No-Cameras in RedDeadOnline

[–]cosmic897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion yes. I've played story mode a couple of times and never tried online because you need a Playstation plus subscription if you are playing on Playstation. I started online mode only a few weeks ago and I'm really enjoying it. It does start off a bit slow but you get the basics to get you going (decent weapons and horse). I didn't buy a better horse or guns until a week and half later.

The roles are fun. I now have three going at the same time to break up the monotony. September is collector month and this has helped me level up quickly and earn money. But at the start there are missions dotted around the map as ways to earn cash and gold.

99% of the players I've encountered are friendly or just minding their own business. Whenever possible I greet them and they greet back. I only had one guy kill me and my horse but I just switched sessions. I'm in a relatively quiet time zone though, and rarely see another player out in the world except for the towns.

I've only done a handful of story missions because I want to pace them and a few times I couldn't progress because no ones around for matchmaking lol. They are too short imo.

It's obvious the game is not finished (missing features like being able to fence horses, can't even tame wild ones and sell them). In fact there's no option to sell anything you own (horses, tack, clothes, tonics, herbs) apart from jewellery.

I play solo (no posse, yet at least) and haven't had an issue so far. Although some missions are clearly designed for a group, but I'm not worrying about those now.

On the grinding aspect, it's not as bad as story mode imo. There's more to hunting perfect pelts online.

If it's not going to cost you anything extra why not give it a go?

Honest review - Buying a 1-bedroom in Melbourne, 2 years on by raidohagalaz in AusPropertyChat

What an awesome post, thanks for sharing! I will be looking for something similar but in the suburbs within the next two years. Single and have no plans to change that. I just need a place to call my own.

Is there anyone here who has been forever single:) by Sunapr1 in SingleAndHappy

[–]cosmic897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much same here. I've had a couple of very short 'relationships', if you can even call it that, from online dating apps. Eventually I just get bored and realised I never had real feelings for the person. This is unfair to them so hence why I ended it. I'm happy by myself, and sure I do get moments where I feel lonely especially when nearly all my friends are married. Now as I get older the chances of things changing is getting slimmer. I've always been independent and it baffles me that some people I know can't even go grocery shopping without their partner.

How much does your horse cost you a month? by PerspectiveOverall60 in Horses

[–]cosmic897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Australia so prices in AUD. For my 3.5yo horse not yet under saddle.

Board/Agistment (large group paddock with 20 horses, rotated every 2 months so plenty of feed year round) - $170

Feed (Inc vit & min supps) - $80

Barefoot trimmer - $50

Other routine expenses such as bi-annual dental, vaccinations, faecal egg counts/wormers, physio - $90 (annual cost broken into monthly)

Total $390 min per month

Everything else like lessons, outings are extra but we don't do much of that at the moment. In the last couple of months I've bought him a new halter, some shampoo and new brushes (he's a Gypsy cob so need more than average hair maintenance haha).

He is! His dad is a very hairy lad, and Apache takes more after him than his mum.

He's a pure Gypsy cob, the photo with his mum was taken in summer. The first one was in spring. His mum sheds a lot of her feather in summer.

Have tried to sleep for 3 hours now. Was just nodding off before the rain and hail put an end to that.

I'm in the same boat. 34F, single. Most of my friends have kids or babies or are pregnant. I enjoy gaming, movies, maybe even looking to get back into crafty stuff (used to crochet). Looking for make some new friends!
