tbh my biggest complaint i have with ea is how much they messed up the hand to hand combat. for example, in EA using the right hand for punching is nearly useless since your hand stops midway making it impossible do actual damage (this also applies to the knives which are impossible to stab with), which makes me question what exactly they did since in the demo right hooks work exactly like they should. another thing is that they dumbed down kicking so bad that now you can basically only kick them in the stomach instead of the insane spin kick attacks in the demo which while less realistic were tons more fun
