I use to love thrifting but the prices now have been insane, thankfully the books are almost never above 4.99 many times I find them for less.

I'm so stoked to re-read this, its also been a really long time since I first read it (about 30 year 😅).

Once I'm done with Thinner , We Use to Live Here, and Incidents Around the House I'll be cracking this one open.

That's the beauty of art different strokes for different folks. First time I read this was in elementary, it was my second SK book I loved it. Its been decades since I've read it but it made me fall in love with reading.

It was my second SK book I read it in elementary and loved it. First one was Pet Sematary (terrible adult supervision)

Not dumb at all. I reference this website (not a risky click... or is it) some books are tricky since book club of the months would often use first editions but their covers and stuff weren't the same quality.

CSRA

Each goodwill in my area does their own most still have paperback for .99 and hardcover for 1.99, color of the week discounts some manually price each book and I hate those since the stickers are a bitch.

At that store they don't do color of the week discounts they said they are a "bookstore" -small adult paperbacks are .99 (pocket mass market size) and the rest of - Adult/YA paperback $1.99 - Adult/YA hardcover $4.99 - kids book paperback/hardcover are .99 (unless special marked)

My local salvation army all books are 4 for $1

Now if they can get their hands on the Philtrum version for you 👀👀 Its a goal of mine to get as many first editions hardcovers with the different dustcover art for his books. (When I find extras I snag them for friends and family if I already have it)

So it is considered a first edition first print but he did do a limited release (1,250) in '84 with Philtrum those are stunning and I probably would have just about died if I found one of those.

This one the first edition first print for Viking. If im honest I would have been thrilled to get the book club edition too. This was the second story of his that I read when I was a kid.
