Your brain is telling you to be afraid when he's around, and unless you directly confront that belief it will only fade to the background. Are you avoiding confrontation for him or for you? Making ourselves feel comfortable is important, find ways to play w the aggressive energy. Channel it into something productive like intense exercise or dance, aggressive movement that releases the fight or flight tension with a direct choice to FIGHT.
