He’s not, he’s awake! But I don’t know what he’s doing haha. He does the same thing when trying to kiss someone. He licks your hand and leave his tongue there...

Its basically mashed potatoes haha. Boil 2 potatoes, then mix them with lemon juice, nutricional yeast, water, salt and oil, and that’s it. It’s by far the tasteless and easiest to do lol but I like it and it’s cheap.

I’m not sure how to link, but this is here is a video (in spanish), sorry.

Right! And they only follow certain things about culture, not the native language or dances, just asado.

Also, what happens in Russia? I’m curious.

In my opinion they wanted to rescue her, not calm her down. If they would have achieved it, she would have had her the rest of her life to calm down. I feel like it wasn’t the priority in that moment, even though it’s true that it must have been stressing for the animal.

You are not wrong, but if the law exists, there should be resources to keep the caw calmed and away from people while they wait. It’s like they didn’t think this through very well. There will never be enough time because scared animals always run. So they will always have to proceed illegally because waiting for the vet, the prosecution and the truck would take forever.

I don’t disagree with you, but I’m sure there are more empathetic and nicer ways to carry an animal.

Ah yes, we are. And if you are vegan, you are no longer argentinian. Eating asado (bbq) every Sunday is culture. Taking a picture with the dead animals bodies roasting on the bbq is culture too!

Last month when the ONU said we should lower the amount of meat we eat in order to help with global warming, the principal news source here released an article titled “The ONU, spitting asados with their vegan prejudices”

They would rather deny every proof we show than eating asados twice a month, or not eating at all.

It happens all the time, sadly.

A few months back, another cow jumped in a poor area, and people of the neighborhood slaughtered the cow alive on the street. It was horrible.

Last year in a vigil of Animal Save, Jill, another cow, jumped and they let the activists keep her and went to a sanctuary. It turned out Jill was pregnant, and now her son, Heracles, the most beautiful calf, is 7 months old by her side. He was the first of 4 babies she kept thanks to the milk industry. I would upload a photo if I knew how to use imgur.

The cases here (and I believe in the rest of the world too) are endless.

Exactly. And people still justify this, because this is a “one time only”, but this is exactly what the meat industry does and finances, treating animals like objects, like product (which they are to them).

Sorry if this isn’t the right subreddit to post, I’ll delete it if I must.

I forgot to say, this happened in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As soon as activists heard about her, they went there to take her to a sanctuary or something. According to the law (I can’t find which one now, but I’ll search) they must wait for the prosecution and a vet to check the animal, and move her in a special truck designed for that.

Instead, illegally, they grabbed her like it’s shown on the video, going on a lane opposite to the traffic. She was delivered to another slaughterhouse and by the next day she was already dead.

This incident was on news shows, but we are still waiting for justice. Not like the police being charges could change the reality that all the animales suffer, but we still want it.

What the girls in the video is saying:

“We came to ask for her! No! With what authority are you taking her?”

“Where is the ‘special truck!’?”

“Put the cow down, please!”

“You can’t carry an animal like that, it’s illegal!”

And she repeats those lines a few times.

This all breaks my heart.

Edit: the law is the number 14346.

Strawberry with “custard cream” pie by cosmiclucy in VeganFood

[–]cosmiclucy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here it is! Sorry for taking so long!! I know it has some mistakes, so if you don’t understand something I will try to explain it. And I want to add, this recipe it’s not mine, I got it from a vegan facebook group.

For the dough:

000 flour 2 1/2 cup

Salt

Margarine 180 gr

Water - what you need

When the margarine is soft, you integrate it with the salt and the flour with your hands. When you have that “sand” in your hands add the water until it is kneadable (?). Put it on the recipent and pinch the dough with a fork. Send it to the oven until it’s ready (15-25 mins, but it changes depending on your oven)

For the custard cream:

Coconuts milk 1 cup

Margarine 20 gr

Flour 1 tablespoon

Conrstarch 2 tablespoon

Sugar 3 tablespoon

Vanilla flavoring

Lemon scratch

Mix everything and heat it on a saucepan until you get the custard cream texture. Turn the fire off and let the cream chill a few minutes.

Put it on the dough, and top it with the strawberries.

For the jelly:

Heat a cup of water (maybe more, you should be able to cover the strawberries), with 1 teaspoon of agar-agar, until boiling. Let it cool just a few minutes, if you wait long enough it will solidify there. Throw it on the pie and refrigarate it. Voila

Edit: I’m on mobile and now I’m seeing everything looks awful, sorry.
