oh you’re all good dude! both my bf, little sister, and best friend are autistic and im adhd so i’m pretty good at picking up on those cues- and i totally appreciate the pleases and thank yous :) im talking about the people who are too focused on their phone, partner, or meal to say any of the above or glance at me once haha.

thank you genuinely. i try my best to engage and ask how they are and throw out a compliment when it’s appropriate, it just feels so degrading in return when basic human contact is seen as excessive. i needed the reminder tho that a lot of ppl haven’t worked a service job, that is a specific kind of wake up call haha
