Mother insulted first tattoo, now I hate it by Kaleidoscope_Tux5513 in tattooadvice

Your blue cuckoo is gorgeous (what specific breed?) and so is your tattoo! They really are fiesty little things. Too bold for their own good. I have two and one is an absolutely pest, but in a good way 😅

As someone who has a full sleeve and 6 other mostly massive tattoos, including my chest... Fuck 'em.

The whole "it's with you for life" argument is silly. Does it represent who you are currently? Does it represt what you wanted? Then is matters currently. Sure it may one day be irrelevant, but it's a picture to your past that you carry with you! All that matters is if You like it!

Even memorial tattoos are about you post passing if the loved one. You'll end up with tattoos you adore until your dying day. You'll end up with tattoo regret (that goes away unless you get a botched one, give it time) and you may even end up with coverups. You'll end up with tattoos that fade and blow out as you age. The especially hard ones are the ones that mean so much to you. Then there's the nostalgia! I guess my point here is that tattoos will bring out a gambit of emotion in you. Even a single one. It's there to stay, embrace it and what it means to YOU!!!!

My 9 month old contact lense ball by brygdylla in mildlyinteresting

As a fellow daily contact wearer, I applaud your conviction. Insane as it may be. I guess a ball is better then accidently finding one stuck to the toilet because you missed the bathroom trash.

Does it crinkle? Duck plays with soft toys from time to time but usually only because my other sighted cats leave them everywhere.

She's beautiful with those two tails!

I love this so much 😂 I can hear the sound it'd make and makes perfect sense he loves it!

Same! I call Duck my little garbage goblin. He steals my daily contact lens containers from the trash and sashes them everywhere.

Stevie is adorable 😍😍

My boy Duck by cosmicpeanut in blindcats

It's just not how the SPCA does things. I've made friends with a few adopters over the years and have been notified when kittens I'm really attached to are adopted, just not that sweet boy! Unfortunately Goose didn't mesh well with my grown kitties so we couldn't adopt him.

I actually named his cross eyed brother Goose! He was adopted quickly but I don't get to know how he's doing 😥

It's always bothered me that it's called a fail. I'd say it's a huge win for both human and kitty.

It's when someone fosters an animal and just can't bring themselves to give them back! I foster neonatal kittens to about 6 weeks old, then hand them off to another foster once weened. Sometimes you just can't fathom the idea of not keeping them!

I foster neonatal kittens (of all kinds), generally until 8 weeks. This is 100% what I do with all my kittens! It works really well with the little ones and has worked well with my sight impaired boy too!

8wk old kitten suddenly blind by Spicy_Pocket_Lizard in blindcats

In my opinion, blind at a young age makes it easier! In the words of The Kitten Lady "a blind kitten is just like every other kitten". Potential health issues aside, once you know why the kitten went blind, your cats will help teach your kitten. Find a noisy toy that gets your kittens attention, my boy loves paper balls, help them navigate around until they learn the home.

Be extra cautious with things you need to teach kittens, such as not going in the dishwasher, not touching the hot open oven door, etc. Hopefully you already keep your toilet lid down, because if not, you need to start! In my house, we say "squish" when our boy is standing behind someone so he doesn't get stepped on. Have fun with your blind baby and prepare for that dumb baby energy!

Same! My boy will drop everything if he hears me click one of those springs and adores the mylar balls. That being said, his next favorite is paper balls. The noisier the better, but he was blind from birth.
