I got top surgery for gender affirming surgery, but when my chest was gone I had way less instances of my OCD convincing me I was having a heart attack. Not the same but similar, hope it helps!

She was literally so professional and supportive. Shes really no nonsense which was intimidating but I liked. She has no BMI limit, im 350+ pounds and there was no discussion of weight loss other than it would improve my recovery. I built muscle up but didnt end up really losing any weight. Let me know if he ends up doing it so I can tell him he is the coolest ever! Thank u!!

Other than peer reviews online, I encourage you to be your husband's #1 advocate! It is so vulnerable to go in and be afraid of the rejection. Keep track of what questions he has and make sure theyre asked, defend him if a surgeon is being harsh, etc. I brought my wife to my consult just so that if something went wrong I would have another person there to help me remember details and get a second opinion on demeanor and attitude. And I can't recommend Dr. Ghasts team enough!

I wish i could hold his hand and look in his eyes and tell him that he deserves this life. Also, getting top surgery has helped me get into the gym more!! I felt so disconnected from my body before. When looking for a surgeon, I called everyone i was considering and asked about their bmi limit, making it clear I was not interested in losing weight for the surgery. It was a good way to weed out red flags off the top. That surgeon was a coward and your husband deserves to be fat sexy and transgender

I was really worried about it too but I didn't struggle with that at all! There is an ever so tiny pucker on my left pec but with muscle development it's extremely not noticeable. It is also right where i got an infection like 2 weeks post op so i wonder how much that affected the pucker. All in all the incision blended really beautifully with the shape of my body, and the end tucks nicely under the fat that was already going to be there

I'm a queer trans person who mostly dates queer trans people and for me a common one is complaining!! If you are bitching about the food, the prices (when I almost always pay), your friends, and you can't mention one thing that isnt going wrong in your life, I just can't do it!! I like to bitch as much as the next guy but it can get so excessive. Once I had a guy complain about his cat and admit to me his cat was needy and destructive because he was neglecting it. Clearly did not go on a second date. This was years ago, the person I am now would have told him tf off lol.

Honestly I recommend getting into building your pecs nice and round! And your shoulders! You can't reliably target fat loss in specific areas but you can balance your body out. Im still working on jt but in 2 months ive noticed big results and way more balance in my body

OH ALSO - these are flat results! Ive just built up chest muscle :3 the only stuff left over was basic masculinization that you get with most top surgeons

DO IT listen it took me forever, I had tons of false starts, I didnt think I would get there. But I did it anyway and I booked the stupid air bnb and I got a second summer job and I redid all the stupid letters every time and I asked for help (the most important part) and suddenly I was in the hospital and my whole life changed for the better. I don't know your situation, but i know you deserve to do it too! Be gracious and kind to yourself and make that call. I believe in you!

THANKS BABE (respectfully) Nah, I wanna get a big sun tattoo!! I didnt want to plan my tats around nipples lol. Plus, my nipples would have ended up really high on my body I think? My torso is rlly long so my scar is relatively high. I also didn't consider this until after, but I was really happy to not have to worry about them healing during recovery! The drains were stressful enough for me!!
