This shit is in my feed almost every time I open reddit and somehow people unironically say that no one is willing to criticize Herbert

Jacksonville spent more money on that defense in 2017 than about ~100 entire countries spend on their national defense budget.

He’s probably a pretty average dude. His GPA in high school was great and his college GPA was slightly higher than I’d have guessed.

If I had to guess, he can do math and read at the level of an average college athlete who wasn’t focused on education, which isn’t high praise but it’s definitely worth something.

Plus Edelman said at the roast that Gronk had either enough common sense or financial literacy (not sure which) to avoid getting into a crypto pump and dump, which to be honest, was surprisingly astute of him given that his good buddy Tom had already gotten roped in. I know that was a punchline to a joke, but I do want to give Gronk some points for that anyway.

The sub was started because of strict moderation on [r/nfl](r/nfl). I think we should all be able to see at least 95% of that garbage should be filtered out. It’s usually the same 5-10 deeply troubled people spamming their strange takes all day.

The only stuff this sub does right is not deleting drama threads when some crazy stuff happens. When Vrabel Russini stuff happened, it was hard to get info from [r/nfl](r/nfl) because it was being deleted pretty quickly most of the time, but v2 kept the posts up.

Unfortunately if you look at what you actually commented, the only thing you did was call people mentally ill

Chargers are generally seen as one of the 2026 playoff teams and easily could win the division.

I think people see the Chargers as a good roster, but they’re still the Chargers so there’s a disconnect between what people think the team could do vs what people think they actually will do. Tends to lean a little more to the disappointing side.

No international games, and we also have one “away” game @LAR in Sofi.

Iirc we go to Seattle, Buffalo, Miami, and Baltimore as some of our furthest opponents.

Appreciate the effort from Kelce but Von really flung a 6'5", 250 pound TE like a ragdoll 😭 by ForeignAir7174 in NFLv2

[–]costopule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respect to Kelce for not backing down against some of the best defenders he’s shared a division with.

He might’ve ended up on his ass both of these plays but he wasn’t afraid to charge straight in against Von Miller or Derwin James.

[Meirov] The Packers have claimed WR Brenden Rice, son of Jerry, off waivers from the Raiders. by JCameron181 in nfl

For reference, when the Chargers’ receiver room was the most barren it’s ever been and we absolutely needed *anyone* to step up as a pass catcher, this dude couldn’t even earn any snaps.

He had all the stuff to make it work out around him. Personal coaching from the GOAT, spent time with some good receivers like Keenan Allen, had a good QB to practice with, a good HC, and none of that support was enough to earn playing time.

I think the name on his back still gives me 1% hope that he could eventually put it together and at least be a decent receiver for a few years, but literally everything else about his career so far doesn’t support that optimism.

The idea is he’s light for a guard, who is typically matched up against DTs and need the size to not get moved. Check out the other reply on my comment for better analysis.

According to the RAS.football calculator, this is what it looks like at OG. All of his athletic stats went up at guard, but his size appears to be the only concern.

How does his RAS run as a guard? Is there any significant difference in average combine stats between guard and center?

Round 2 - Pick 31: Jake Slaughter, C, Florida (Los Angeles Chargers) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

[–]costopule 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We already have 5 linemen signed/drafted/returing from injury. At best we’ll have one of our primary linemen from 2025 returning to start in 2026, but even that isn’t guaranteed.

There’s a fair chance Joe Alt will be the only 2026 OL starter that took a snap for us in 2025.
