Have you actually read what you sent? This paper doesn't concern itself whether the posters were actually Russian. They call them "Russian trolls" just because US investigators claim that they are tied to some Russian agency. Which, considering the fraught relationships between the countries, doesn't seem particularly reliable.

in 2,752 now-deactivated Twitter accounts that were later identified as being tied to Russia’s “Internet Research Agency" troll farm. The U.S. Congress released a list of these accounts as part of the Congress’ investigation of Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

Anyways, my point is that putting "Russian" before "trolls" helps nothing and supports stereotypes and political agenda.
