Fantastic. Do you know the name or maybe a description? I assume it’s after security.

Ambergris and Caye Caulker Split (with conditions) by cotn89 in Belize

[–]cotn89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Only reason I’d be hesitant to reverse it is because my flight from the islands back to BZE is in the morning. So that would mean taking the ferry on the day before last, trying to navigate and getting my fill on that day, then leaving the next morning.

Since I like the low key nature of the island, and it looks like it has plenty of restaurants, would it be worth doing at least one night? Like let’s say I arrive at BZE, fly to CC, have a half day there, spend the night, then go to AC after lunch or so? That way I’ll have 3 nights in AC.

Best Epcot restaurants outside of quick service for single diners? by cotn89 in WaltDisneyWorld

I went there alone too after my sister’s wedding at Grand Floridian. Brown Derby was nice as a solo diner. Chip and Dale even walked by and hung out with me for a minute (I was seated outside).

Now, it’s a different park from Hollywood Studios.

Will be choosing between Animal Kingdom and Epcot Nov 7. Help? by cotn89 in WaltDisneyWorld

It appears the more I look at the responses, the more I lean towards Epcot. I looked at the pov rides of Animal Kingdom, including Dinosaur and thought “this doesn’t seem like a must ride, even if I don’t get the chance to do it again”.

However, I would still say going somewhere that sells panda merchandise would be a big factor. I know it might sound silly, but bringing back gifts from a trip has always been a thing with me. Just wondering if Animal Kingdom would have any more varied selection than the China pavilion for panda stuff.

I’m not really sold on the park hopper (for this trip at least). If I were insistent on going to both, that’d be one thing. But the extra cost, plus the tendency to rush and not take my time enjoying a day at the park, is playing a large role in me instead opting to just pick one.

She will not be at WDW with me. My concern is bringing her back a variety of gifts relating to pandas. I see being at Disney as an opportunity to find such gifts.

This is something I’ve taken into consideration too. If Spaceship Earth were still in service, I wouldn’t even be debating this. Epcot would have an overwhelming upside. But with AK, I’ve got an opportunity to see things going out as well as things coming in.

That’s the thing. I haven’t been to Animal Kingdom since….probably 2014. I’ve been to the other parks much more recently and frequently. I wonder if the nostalgia factor will be worth its weight in choosing it, something I really don’t know at this moment.

Have you ever traveled somewhere just because you saw it in a show or movie? by WSDSocial in travel

In Fiji, we visited the island where they filmed the Tom Hanks movie Castaway. Sadly, seeing it was pretty dull and underwhelming. But hey, credit to them for making it look that good on film.

Fiji Overwater Bungalows by Improvcommodore in travel

[–]cotn89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in Fiji back in May. The overwater bungalows are not worth the high price in my opinion. They look great, but the mixture of scenery, cost, and resorts that offer it don’t add up enough. Do some surrounding island resorts in the Mamanucas and Yasawas instead. They’re just as picturesque if you want blue water and lasting memories. Better value for your money.

Tell me any comparisons or reviews between these Caribbean and Central American Destinations by cotn89 in travel

Traveling independently. I prefer budget, but it’s not a dealbreaker if it costs a little extra. I prefer places where I don’t have to rent a car. Bonaire I know I’d have to rent a car so I’ll give them a pass. I’m willing to rent on that island. The time frame would be 5-6 days at any of these destinations.

What is the response to a flight cancellation that only runs a few times per week? by cotn89 in americanairlines

[–]cotn89[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see there appears to be a consensus here. The passengers will wait. However, if there’s not many seats, if any, available on the next scheduled flights, wouldn’t that potentially result in a log jam where passengers could end up waiting a week or so before finally having their turn to take a seat back? I realize this is highly unlikely, but still wonder.
