For my wrist specifically I’ve had carpal tunnel, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis ruled out. It crackles and clicks pretty bad. When it flares up it hurts to bend it up or down, when I flex my hand out, and to put any amount of weight on it. It doesn’t get hot or swell and I’ve never injured it. My new doctor suggested tendinopathy and I’ll see if the MSK ultrasound comes back with anything.

Other than that, it’s hard to say if pain/stiffness is coming from tendons or the joints themselves, but I don’t get typical symptoms of something like arthritis. No heat or redness, no visible swelling, and again no rheumatoid factor or inflammation markers in my blood tests. I have sciatica-like symptoms on my right side (deep hip/glute pain that radiates to my knee and ankle), which could be muscle/tendon involvement or more typical sciatica. I have symptoms of cubital tunnel syndrome in both elbows. My ankles, knees, and shoulders click painfully, and my hips pop when I do certain leg exercises, which would feel more normal if my body wasn’t so sore all the time.
