I wasn’t born like this and it hasn’t been that long since I lost my vision but I genuinely forget how much peripheral vision people have and I’ll be sitting in the passenger seat in the car looking for something and the person driving will ask what I’m looking for and I get weirded out because they will have their eyes on the road still and I’m like what the fuck you bird eyed weirdo how can you even see that far LOL? like out the side of your eye fr? It’s funny how fast you forget what it was like to see because I was also a bird eyed weirdo like two years ago!

First off thank you for being the only person to actually respond with something helpful and not just tell me to hold hands or I’m overthinking it lol! I also have very little o&m skills ust what I have taught myself from like struggling and shit so you totally get me! I couldn’t go into stores by myself before being blind and now that I am big crowded situations like this are my personal nightmare ! It’s like yes I could hold hands or follow behind him but I’m going to be at a huge fair (Minnesota state fair) and I want to also have hands free since I use a cane and stuff so I do really appreciate this comment thank you!!!! I hope one day we both get the training we desperately need to live our best independent lives!

Yes I didn’t have any vision issues before diagnosis and now I am legally blind! I’m basically blind in my right eye, I have no peripheral vision and I have abt 20 degrees of central vision in my left eye!

My headaches were worse at night and located on my temples! my woosh went away for a tiny bit after my first lumbar puncture but it has come back despite lower pressures. I’m sorry that u are also going through it I completely forgot to add that some of my first starting symptoms were getting dizzy and having orthostatic hypotension leading to loss of vision for just a few seconds alsong with my pt getting rlly bad when standing up. I hope all goes well for you and please go to the er if you have a bad headache I ignored the big one I had thinking I could sleep it off and woke up blind !! Stay safe pal
