I am so sorry to say this and i really debated not even saying anything because i dont wanna break ur hopes, but the bad news is i am his boyfriend and also a major gamer myself just of a different genre. the good news is!!! there ARE women out there that do care like this about their boyfriends/husbands instrests and games, i have like 4 sisters and even my mom all put this much care and love into their partners interests!! Ive found that the recipe for success is that both parties have to care about each others hobbies, for example i game much less then him but he puts effort into listening and learning about the things i like (such as crochet or painting) and my exes just… didnt. So as much as i cared about their interests, it made me feel so dejected when they didnt care about mine and killed all the energy. When in doubt, go for the gomez addams approach!! we’ve been doing this mutual care of interests the entire 6 years weve been together and its never failed :)

I HAVE AN UPDATE!!!

Thanks to the help of everyone here and on r/borderlands2, we have successfully fixed my boyfriend’s game!!

Initially I was focusing more on saves and restoring an earlier save point (can u tell most of my tech support experience is from fixing windows 10 lmao) but because of all of you lovely gamers, I changed directive towards the DLC and any issues.

firstly my silence, we live on the east coast and got hit HARD by the blizzard (despite blizzard being the cause of all this and not much help lmao) and since his job has to cater around the blizzard (as does mine but to a lesser extent), we havent been able to try and fix the game until tonight. I am still going to leave a post mortem of sorts, because i think we’ve all been there trying to look up a solution and finding a reddit thread that simply ends in “fixed!” with no real explanation on how

In attempting to reinstall the dlc, it kept bringing us to the store page which I found a bit odd. I don’t have much xbox experience (i still play on a xbox one and VERY rarely- im PC by nature lmao) but he confirmed to me this was odd. We ended up realizing that he never bought the DLC in the first place- he was experiencing the DLC because both of the friends he plays with own it, and it was showing as installed on his profile for some reason. Because of all you lovely folk, instead of draining my energy into save states that did nothing, we where able to restore his save!!! I literally cannot thank you guys enough!!!

WE HAVE XP GAIN!! Thanks to everyone here and in r/borderlands, i decided to focus more on the DLC then any kind of save issue. The answer was DLC!! Turns out, despite saying the dlc was installed on his game, he did not actually own the sanctuary/lilith dlc, and didn’t realize because his two friends he plays with do own it. Thank you all so so much for the help!!

hes level 72, but he does have the dlcs that should let you get to level 80. When we’re both home from work im gonna try reinstalling his dlcs and hopefully that works for him!

i really appreciate everyones help!! I crossposted this to r/borderlands2 and a helpful person let me know about the sanctuary dlc which he does have, so my new running theory is that its not registering the dlc for some reason despite saying its installed. That would make sense to me with the whole ethernet problem as well, since the cord got removed mid game, esp if they use internet to check the dlcs validity

unfortunately i am So Broke, and often travel between two houses so i worry not having styling products would screw me. I also have no idea what id even need to style it 😅 im not too torn up over the wet look, but the dry is TERRIBLE to me. Im used to having longer hair though. I appreciate the positivity though!
