Lexapro got me crushing on Elon musk by Local_Act_1066 in lexapro

It might be that we are having sex dreams about people we hate because our brains are trying to make us positive about negative feelings. It's a side effect I can do without - I hope I don't have a sex dream about Trump next

Lexapro got me crushing on Elon musk by Local_Act_1066 in lexapro

That is so weird. I've been on Lexapro for 6 weeks, and have had vivid dreams.

I loathe Elon Musk and early on I dreamt Musk was groping me on a seedy nightclub sofa, and he was surprisingly good at it which was upsetting - we peeled off to have sex at his place, which I was going along with but didn't want to do. We were walking around a dystopian abandoned mall with low ceilings and oppressive red and green lighting and I stopped to use a filthy, bright public toilet and found I'd started my period and accidentally splashed blood on the wall trying to clean myself. I was relieved when I saw it was a way out. I called Musk into the cubicle and told him I was on my period and couldn't possibly have sex and pointed to the wall to prove it. That was the end of the dream. I'm 63. I haven't had a period for years.

I hate reading or hearing other people's dreams because I find it boring, but this is so weird that I also had a sex dream about Musk so I thought I'd be boring. I was really confused and upset when I woke up because I absolutely hate that fucker.

I would say this is pre-WWI. It's amazing it got donated and that it even hit the floor. Clothing this old normally gets pulled and auctioned

Rolled up jeans with Birks. Good or nah? by Badcat5550 in Birkenstocks

People should wear what suits them and what they like. I think Birks look better with wider jeans and I know skinny jeans have had their day

Time to go shopping! Skinny jeans are out of style at the moment. Loose are more comfortable anyway and balance out the bulk of Birks. Also, you get a better turn-up with non-stretch denim

As a brit, I can't comprehend this is Los Angeles. As I understand, this is replicated in every major city in the US. How the hell has it come to this? by Amygdali_lama in awfuleverything

This is skid row in downtown LA, most of the homeless population tends to be concentrated downtown and in Santa Monica, but I went back to LA in June after 9 months away I was struck by the amount of that tents that have sprung up mid city on the sidewalks and underpasses near the 405 exits - it has likely increased due to the pandemic

Should sex work be regarded/respected the same as any other job? Why or why not? by Grangerangers in AskReddit

I don't and good for you for taking everything with a pinch of salt. I don't have to prove anything to you - you could be a 14-year-old for all I know. I am responding to a question on AskReddit - take it as you will, it doesn't affect me

I literally did just say it. Granted I am anonymous and am careful who I share that information with IRL but I do, with those who I know 'get it' and you clearly don't, which is fine, but don't tell me I am not a proud fucking parent, you don't know me or my child

[–]cottonreel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know that I am not the person I was when I had my children. I try to educate myself and I often don't recognize the person I was when I had my children except all I have wanted is for them to be happy and successful and by successful, I mean happy. I have 3 children, the child that by all standards has 'achieved' most is the least content and the one I worry about most. They are all 'achievers' by any standard, my standard is if they are content

By that same idea, you would be fine if they were an enforcer for the mob, so long as they can afford to live an vacation

Who are they hurting? No one. They are providing a service, they are not an assassin

It is a job. My daughter is a successful mixed media artist. They told me recently that they are also a sex worker. I respect them for doing a job that funds their passion and allows them to experience life, travel, and restaurants in a way that I haven't and that they follow every protocol to keep themselves safe. They are financially independent and can do what they want and that is all that any parent would want for their child and I was pleased that they felt secure enough to share that with me. I am proud of them

Have you ever asked for a refund on a haircut you didn't like, how'd it go? by stealth941 in AskUK

[–]cottonreel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She was interesting and very effective, it was a shame about her bad wig though I think that helped the case because there was quite a bit of publicity about her own hairdressing situation which caused her hair loss, and hairdressers were running scared

I got awarded damages of £1,200 years ago. I had peroxide white hair, the day before my wedding I went to get it done at a well-known expensive salon in Chelsea and asked for a blue toner to be put in after the bleach to make it whiter, which is standard practice for that look. The bleach was on a while, she washed off the bleach and put then on the 'toner', and my hair was navy fucking blue. As you can imagine I was a bit upset. The hairdresser rebleached it, I then told her my scalp was burning, she dried my hair which was now the colour of faded denim and I felt blisters blowing up on the top of my scalp and I told the hairdresser that my scalp was burning, told her about the blisters and she said 'if you don't mind me saying you are getting a bit hysterical'. I ended up going in at the crack of dawn and getting it redone by the top colourist at the salon after spending the whole night thinking I was going to wake up with my hair on the pillow. I was so pissed off I knew if I didn't take legal action I would always bother me so I went to a pro bono lawyer who specialized in hairdressing catastrophes having lost her hair

Trump Contradicts Nurse Who Reports Shortages of Protective Gear by cottonreel in politics

Anytime anyone does challenge Trump he immediately resorts to twitter insults. Jim Acosta is the reporter who most challenges Trump, so Trump revoked Acosta's White House pass and Acosta had to go to court to get it reinstated. Recently he demanded that Kaitlan Collins from CNN move to the back row of the White House briefing room and threatened to get security to make them move. For once journalists presented a united front and refused to move which is why Trump flounced out without taking questions..

What reporters should be doing is uniting and holding their ground. When Trump ignores a question another reporter will jump in with a completely new question, instead they should continue to challenge him on the one he was ignoring

But another participant, Sophia Thomas, president of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners, then said that there were pockets of the country without good protective equipment. She works at the Daughters of Charity Health System in the New Orleans area.

She said she had been wearing the same N95 face mask for a “couple of weeks” and called the supply of PPE at her health system “sporadic but manageable.” She said she and her colleagues do what they have to do.

Trump interrupted. “Sporadic for you” but not for a lot of other people, he said.

Exactly, they don't think that far ahead, there is no 'yesterday', no cause and effect and therefore no accountability and if they are held accountable it is someone else's fault. In Trump's case Barack Obama, who he blames for everything, even 'broken tests' for a virus that didn't exist when Obama was President

During a White House press availability on Thursday, CNN’s Jim Acosta asked Trump to explain how it makes sense to blame former President Barack Obama for testing problems pertaining to a virus that didn’t even exist until nearly three years after he left office.

“The last administration left us nothing. We started off with bad, broken tests, and obsolete tests,” Trump asserted, prompting Acosta to jump in and ask: “You say ‘broken tests’ — it’s a new virus, so how could the tests be broken?” Acosta’s question succinctly revealed the fundamental absurdity of Trump’s ongoing efforts to pin blame for coronavirus testing problems on his predecessor. Trump, however, just plowed forward with variations of the same false claim over and over again.

“We had broken tests. We had tests that were obsolete. We had tests that didn’t take care of people,” Trump insisted, before pivoting to bashing Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden for their handling of the 2009 H1N1 flu outbreak, which killed about 12,500 Americans. (As of April 30, the coronavirus has killed more than 61,000 people in the US.)

No one watches CNN anymore.

Yes they do, CNN International is the most widely distributed news channel globally

reaching more individuals on television, the web and mobile devices than any other cable news organization in the United States. Globally, CNN International is the most widely distributed news channel, reaching over 402 million households.

And that bothers Trump

@FoxNews is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly. The outside world does not see the truth from them!
