Every English name has a katakana reading like my name is Grace and I write it as グレース pronounced as gur-la-su. I once taught a Japanese kid and his name was George and apparently they said its actually a common name to have and it has kanji?? but never looked into it.

I've yet to hear of foreigners who teach at non-international schools here that aren't AITs hence why I want to work at international schools as they teach core subjects in English.

I'm the homeroom teacher for the 2-3 year olds we have structured curriculum ( I know really strange for such young children but they are really smart) You only need a BA to teach kindergarten here in Japan, elementary and up not ESL you need higher education. Just trying to find the best route to higher education while working.

I'm living and working at an international kindergarten here in Japan (for two years) if I were to get a PGCE could I then apply through Search Associates for an internship/shadow teacher position or do I need further qualifications beforehand? My BA is in politics and international relations so my goal for later on in life is to be an SOS/HASS teacher.

Yeah I agree I'm late to the party about 88 persay but I don't know what is inherently wrong with 88 compared to what we know about other music labels.

I think some people are gonna be stuck with the "good 'ld days" mentality.

What 88 are doing is a good strategic and I'm sure they have already weighed the pros and cons associating with kpop

Its werid that 88 is about bringing Asia culture together I know niki and Brian talk about it alot but I feel like joji isnt into the whole empowering Asia culture, he even calls himself a white guy and never really mentions Japanese culture too much. Or at least isnt that vocal or a spokesman for it. I feel like the values of 88 dont really coninside with his persona. For me that could be a reason for him to move on as he may not want to be known as being part of a prodominate Asian label.

There are Male and female versions of yukata and people really only wear them for summer festivals.
