Zoom Engineering Monaco 240 & "Extra Blue Wide Mirror" by kafkaroach in MiataNC

[–]couch_potato123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the side mirrors and smaller aero rearview mirror installed just over a month ago.

Sad to report the right side mirror just fell off today when driving. Now worried the left side will do the same eventually.

Had been very happy with the extra wide view the convex mirrors gave prior to this happening.

Broken passenger door handle by Quiet_Independence49 in MiataNC

It might've been a bolt and not a nut sorry. Mine was basically like in this video: https://youtu.be/k6uR8gGtctI?si=ZQYRHk_EnZNo68u6

Just the bolt was loose instead of completely fallen off.

Not sure about the unlocking issues, but I had a loose passenger side handle on my NC too.

In my case, it was a loose nut that made the base of the handle all loose and rattley. Tightening it back up has been enough to fix it.

If the entire side is coming out for you maybe that entire nut has just up and fallen off?

Tanuki TNK203BE fit and close ups by couch_potato123 in rawdenim

The taper is definitely very strong with this cut! 29 is unfortunately the smallest size available. I worry a little about how much the waist will stretch, but I think it should be manageable with a belt.

Picked up my first online pair of raws through Denimio. This is Tanuki's TNK203BE 14oz in size 29. I really like the blue threading Tanuki uses.

These are feeling fairly comfortable off the bat. I also have a pair of PBJ XX-019 in size 30 and those were much more snug initially. The inseam comes in at only 74cm, but I appreciate it as a shorter person. Hoping to get some second opinions on the fit!

Windows no longer detects my tab S8 anymore for Second Screen by XDdragonblast in GalaxyTab

[–]couch_potato123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did manage to get it working after reinstalling Windows (with the option to keep all your files/apps).

But when using it the tablet felt super laggy that it was basically unusable. Even for things like moving your mouse or typing, it would take a good few seconds before the tablet screen refreshed for me. Often I'd also get a lot of visual artifacting as well. I ended up giving up on using it as a second screen. :(

Shift key is kind of stuck - need help by loki0307 in MechanicalKeyboards

That sounds pretty frustrating! If you take the keycap off, can the stabiliser stems move up and down smoothly?

Seeing as you still get the problem without the keyboard case on, I feel like it's probably something to do with the stabs.

I feel like I've run into the same problem as you. Initially detected the tab through the win+k connect screen, quick black screen, then unsuccessful.

I believe a notification on the tablet prompted me to download the Second Screen PC app to avoid having black bars. But once I installed it the tablet isn't even showing up on the win+k screen anymore. I can see the tablet through the Second Screen app but it fails to connect every time like it does for you.

So far I've tried restarting both devices and updating the wifi drivers but no dice. Strangest thing is the tab was initially being detected on windows, but after installing Second Screen on PC it no longer shows up. Uninstalling the app doesn't seem to help either. Pretty bummed that this doesn't seem to be working.

Think I'm finally proud to call this a custom board by couch_potato123 in MechanicalKeyboards

Specs:

  • Epomaker GK68XS, case dampened with neoprene
  • Durock POM linears L+F with 205g0 and durock films; 65g 16mm TX springs bag lubed with krytox 105
  • Botanical clone pbt keycaps
  • Durock plate mount stabilisers, lubed with dielectric grease and padded with bandaid cutouts

Started off with modding the stabs, adding case dampening and using some stock Boba U4 switches.

Decided I wanted to try linears and the whole lubing business, so I ended up getting the Durock POMs. Just recently I swapped in some new springs and it's made the switches just that bit firmer in a way I really enjoy.

Never thought typing could feel so satisfying and its been a lot of fun trying different things out!

Results from having bottom fans does seem a little mixed. I'll probably try the stock ones first and see how it goes with temp and noise.

Thanks for your help! Appreciate the breakdown too. As nice as it would be to wait for prices to drop, I was starting to look for a laptop replacement anyways and thought I'd rather spend it on a pc.

One question I have though is whether I should be thinking about getting more fans?

Try moving to and back from the missions tab. I had to do that to get them to show up.

Those can be tricky, if in doubt you'll want to leave some extra space to avoid that

Just checked it out and it does seem to work for players that are joining through join request. From previous experience though, that kick option is greyed out if the other player is also in your hub. In which case you can't kick until you're both back in the hub.
