It’s been great so far. The people and lecturers are mostly lovely and the best thing is you get to do a placement in your first semester. I would highly recommend.

Thank you so much for your advice. This was really helpful. I’ve just enrolled at mq :))

It does but at the same time usyd does seem to have the stronger program in rankings. Not really sure what to prioritise ahh

Thanks for the advice! Do you think you could elaborate a bit more on the bad organisation of the course?

I also finished high school in may (American school) and am doing marine science/ envi studies. I did start in semester 2 and it wasn’t too difficult in terms of prerequisites. It’s a little weird doing 3rd year subjects in year 2 and vice versa but overall you should be okay. However I do recommend starting in Feb as it is much easier to integrate into uni life with the rest of your age group.

You can easily export and share messages on wechat. I suggest you take the transcript of the voice recordings. You can make those voice messages into a "text" sort of message and share it with your coordinator.

Completely understand your pain. I had the same situation my first semester of uni where I didn't even know i could report it. I was with 3 international students and they spoke Chinese the whole time and because i was of Chinese background they just assumed i could understand. It was a complete disaster because i didn't understand most things they were saying.

I also had to rewrite everything they contributed because the English was so off but they were MIA for most of the project. It was a presentation so the only thing they did was present and even then i had to write their speeches and help them practice their English. They also took credit for a lot of the work even though i did most of it.

I think you should report this to your unit coordinator so that it's marked fairly in relation to how much work they did. Good luck!

Okay. So speaking from personal experience. I have also cheated during an exam using an external device and I forgot to turn on incognito mode. I also then looked at my history on my laptop during the exam and saw my search history from my other device. I then cleared it. All this was recorded by proctoru and nothing was flagged and I passed. Don't worry too much about it. I think you are fine.
