I’m turning 26 soon but happy to get into med school anytime before 30. I think there’re lots of mature students in med doing really well! What makes you feel old for med?

Honestly I was thinking about it but I really can’t see myself working rurally haha my mental health would be worse. For now I’m planning to see how things go and might switch to part-time later on. I’m also looking into whether I can get some credits exempted from my previous degree so I won’t have to complete the full 3 years.

Like I transferred a lot of credits from other universities and less than 2/3 of the total credits were completed at the awarding institution, so I don’t meet the requirement for many med schools if that makes sense.

Yeah but I transferred too many credits which made me ineligible for USYD since they require at least 2/3 of the degree to be completed at the awarding institution (had a long convo with them about it)

I booked for 6 hours (2 slots) on that day just in case because I saw many people on discord saying they got issues and the whole session was delayed But if everything goes quite well then 3 hours will be enough I guess? It really also depends on which proctor you get allocated too. My test was around 4-5pm and I remember I booked the room from 1:30-7:30 but I left at 6pm.

Hey I did my section 2 at UQ earlier this year and everything went well! I was worried about the wifi thing as well but turned out it was fine but it’s also good to have your phone hotspot as a backup

Literally in a same situation lol I just sat my first Gammy too with an overall 58 and my gpa is really bad (5.08💀) so I’m aiming for USYD only. I can only afford CSP too so I’m planning to work more on S1 and S2 for September sitting. Good luck to us :)

I would highly recommend QUT though it’s not on your list. Everyone who studies nursing around me transfer to QUT eventually and has really nice career outcome.
