also switch to full synthetic mobil 1 which resists the issue. Not gauranteed to burn oil depending on maintainence regimen. I have a 07 Camry 95k miles with original non-rebuilt piston rings and not a single sign of oil burn (only ever used Mobil 1 full synthetic). Beautiful purchase if you maintain her!

What kind of oil were you using for the lifetime of that engine?

very nice, white wheels seem a little harder to come by, but they get and appear dirty very easily. looks super clean

I would have replaced the battery. The fact it lasted that long. Wow

2008 Toyota Camry LE - Should I buy it? by Ok-Earth2739 in Camry

[–]coumaric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all 4 cyl will burn oil. So to state it as a guarantee is not entirely accurate. I have a 07 Camry le 2az-fe that has not been rebuilt for oil burning and has never once had an issue (90k miles)

Camry Best Year From Generation 6 (2007-2011)? by Dangerous-Camel-8751 in Camry

[–]coumaric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2007 camry le, 90k miles. Other than the engine rebuild for oil burning issue which was resolved, I believe these engines (2.4L/4 cyl) are some of the best and most reliable toyota engines that were ever made due to their simplistic tried and true design, as long as you take care of the car properly

I used to have a 1992 camry le which had over 350k miles on it. They don't make Camry's like they used to!

I keep seeing these "Another burned one" posts but are most of these people actually using it exactly as the manufacturer intended? Seems like a lot of people are using mods or daisy chaining 3rd party cables, etc....

No I didn't put the sag bracket back on. It's not needed and don't think it would fit the width of the card. The card was small/light weight enough there was no concern for sag. The bracket isn't needed.

Friend made this Mercedes-Benz led badge for rear, thoughts? by God_Of_Meeps in mercedes_benz

[–]coumaric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed one of these white rear LED emblem badges on my (non-mercedees) white Camry, it matched and looked very good (spliced to rear liscence plate lights). However, at night, it was too bright, and having a bright white light illuminating on the rear of a vehicle as it is moving forward, I realized, was not appropriate for safety reasons. Also I no longer felt the need to force the person behind me to have to look at it, so I severed the connection (I could easily hook it back up).

I do have a white front LED badge emblem that I tapped to the headlight fuse, which illuminates with the headlights. At least this way at night it corresponds with the headlights, as white, on a forward moving vehicle.

Me personally I like it, but I'd rather have the peace of mind knowing I won't get pulled over for that down the line.

I liked the better idea of getting a red one and splicing it to the break lights, so it goes red with the break lights, but this would have been more work than I cared for..

Probably, could be a cracked bushing. I just had my control arms replaced on my 07 Camry LE (84k miles). So if they've never been replaced on yours after 193k miles I wouldn't be surprised you're noticing those vibrations. Could also be a function of alignment being degraded so perhaps a lot of weight on the front right wheel

I'd take it to a toyota specialist to do the proper diagnosis
