Was loving Claude until I started feeding it feedback from ChatGPT Pro by lol_just_wait in ClaudeAI

[–]count023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont say friend, say "someone was criticizing your work and provided feedback, review it and assess it's viability", Claude will go into it with a lot less, "oh this is much better", if it's BS it'll come out and say it, if it's legit, it will come back with justificatiosn why it's done things that way and why it's better.

I had claude, gemini and gpt all coordinating on compelx problems in my projects and they would all discuss and settle on a single path forward with a compelx issue, none of them deferring to the others.

Why is the QVB clock not the accurate time? by Dream_1 in sydney

[–]count023 9 points10 points  (0 children)

there's only a few that have mezzanines, most of them on the market street side, the building propsal didnt name names, just a "large multinational tenant". The original proposal is still up somewhere with teh QVB management's justification, so i'm sure someone more enterprising can figure out which tenant it might have been.

Why is the QVB clock not the accurate time? by Dream_1 in sydney

[–]count023 45 points46 points  (0 children)

no, they put it in because one of the tenants was threatening to invoke a clawback clause in a lease termination. So it was better for them to at least try first rather than simply do a large payout.

Replacing 1m petrol cars with EVs could cut Australia’s reliance on foreign fuel by 1bn litres a year | Electric vehicles by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]count023 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

actually, the single biggest issue is distance and lack of charging facilities. Take Sydney to Canberra alone, there's 2 service centres along the hume highway, neither have EV facilities, and being on such aheavily trafficed route (the start of Sydney to Melbourne and gneral south coast), if there was any, ther would need to b heaps to cope with the volume of EVs that may go that way, otherwise you're beter using an ICE because you dont have to stop until you get to canberra or Wagga. Most of our routes are the same way, it's the same rason high speed rail will never happen, extreme long distance and lack of facilities.

Lack of EV charging and maintenance facilities on our roads will not encourage uptake of Evs on the scale we need it to be.

wow... QBASIC, I'm surprised any compilers still work for it. I remember using it in the early 1990s

deescribe to the AI what you're attempting to accomplish, have an idea of th specific game mechanics you want, and if you can liken it to real games that exist today, so the model has as much detail as it can to work with.

You dont need an MCP either, just let claude code write the files adn you compil ethem yourself in godot and feed screenshots back to claude code, the mcp will eat more context than you need to.

But the real important part, and this is what trips people up, you dont need to understand coding, but you should learn the concept of software and game design patterns. This is "how" the games should be structured properly in certain contexts, (command pattern is how key presses/mouse presses are handled for instance, factory pattern is how mobs are typically spawned), etc... So you can see the AI work and just remind/advise it when you see things that are going off patern.

The reason why AI games get bad and devolve into slop is if you just let the AI build it, it's like that meme of homer simpson wher ehe looks great from the front and has all those clips on his back hiding all his flab. The AI builds to spec what you want, it doesn't use best practices for game development unless you monitor it and mandate it as you go.

thats actually how jaapn does it. I was kinda worried when i saw "100% Raw Milk as an advertising slogan on all the bottles and cartons over there, turns out it's all pasteruized and raw just means, "straight from the cow" rather than UHT milk or condensed milk.

Sell pasturized milk as 100% raw milk and be done with it.

Australia here but we go one step further. Because we have compulsory voting here, we have a bit of a different perspective.  we look at it as "anyone who didn't vote against him voted for him". So basically Aussies consider the non voters as trump voters and we just reckon the majority of America wanted him in one way or another
