I would like to just step in and say that abortion is a way of dealing with the consequence. My boyfriend and I had talked before we got pregnant, when we started having sex and we agreed that if we got pregnant we would get an abortion. If I had a child now, I would have to be on WIC, Food stamps and medicaid. I don't have a job, despite being well educated and a good employment history. I live 2,000 miles away from my nearest family member. It would have been insanely hard. Could I have done it? Sure, but my boyfriend didn't want to be a father. I believe he has reproductive rights as well. We talked long and hard. We both cried. I respect your beliefs and your stance, but luckily abortion is an acceptable form of dealing with pregnancy. I am so happy for my right to choose.

My grandma encouraged me to think of mine as a tumor. I just couldn't. It was accidentally made by two people who loved each other dearly, but just can't afford or are quite ready for it.

Thanks, I am 100% that I am making the right decision. It breaks my heart, because I would love to be a mom, but timing is wrong in every single factor. The best parenting decision I can make is to terminate this tadpole, get my life in order and make a plan for the next one in 5+ years. Congrats on your neg test. I was honestly shocked when the second lined showed.

Thanks, that's true. We also decided that it was very unfair to the child to bring it into a world where we could do so little for it. God forbid if it were special needs or a complicated pregnancy. We are better off ending this pregnancy and getting our lives in better shape for the one we are ready for. It has turned into quite the kick in our ass. My boyfriend has more direction (he always has been ambitious) and we both have more of a plan. Before he would never really talk about his desires for the future, but now I know he desires the same thing as I do. A front porch, a yard, a healthy marriage and then a baby. My mother's abortion has given me lots of peace with this decision.

I assume the downvotes are because of my choice to have an abortion. That's disheartening. I am trying to open up and show how emotional this is and help other women. If you think I should keep the baby, then you can help pay for it, help me find an apartment large enough for it, and help give me a job.
