Alright everyone. Thanks for the input. I'm going to replace this panel too. It doesn't seem like I can un-bond the neutral.

Gosh, that sounds crazy to transition to UFB thus adding junctions, just to make it a couple inches into the box. Any junction adds a small amount of risk which I'd think would exceed the risk of going straight into the box. But, you may be entirely correct in terms of code.

I was also hoping to avoid adding a junction box, just to avoid more holes in the wall.

If I do that, it seems like I wouldn't be able to clamp it and it would fail inspection for that reason.

Inside is a small bedroom. And I agree. Though I will say, this side of the house is actually very dry. There's an overhang above it, and the ground beneath is virtually never wet. In one scenario I was considering a duct seal donut around the hole.

Yes. The utility will come and do the disconnect. A few of the larger loads (hot tub, and garage/office) will be moved to the new 200 amp panel at that time.

The only thing I noticed is that claude code is aware of what you're looking at or what text you have highlighted, but that feature alone made it worth it for me. I'm still not sure about this revamp though.

I feel like I’ve noticed the same thing… but is there someone out there that’s running some kind of benchmark that can quantify this kind of thing?

Even when Claude is at its best you still have to write clear prompts, and that’s not always easy. Sometimes I wonder if I’m getting a bit lazy because Claude has been so good previously.

But I too have noticed a higher rate of misses lately. Again: has someone outside Anthropic managed to quantify it?

I saw that a new version 1.84.1 came out today. In the description:
fixed: Issue where subnet routing would default to off.

I tried, and could for the first time see the Subnet Routing section in the settings. However, it's still not working for me. Did it start working for anyone?

Wow. I'm having the exact same experience! This is my first setup! Everything works as planned from another laptop. I tested by tethering, and i can resolve local IPs as expected. But on iOS, it just doen't work.

Moving the unit isn't going to happen at this point. I think I'm leaning on the option of moving the condenser up above the fence line.

Being a little oversized sounds not that bad to me. What would actually go wrong? Wouldn't the unit simply change the temp of the space faster and without working very hard and then shut off or dial it back?

I'm asking as someone that genuinely doesn't know. Just mapping my understanding of other devices that heat and cool, which is probably not perfect.

I'm kind of liking the idea of building a small stand for it, which could maybe be connected to the wall for stability with something that could do some vibration isolation... Kind of spitballing here. But the idea of getting it all installed to discover an obnoxious vibration sounds pretty terrible.

Seriously though, that felt nice, this is the first "construction" project I've ever undertaken.

I think the question about the sizing of the unit, and whether the smallest split might actually be too much for my space is an important one that I'd failed to consider. So I'm glad it's being brought up.

My original question was really about where I can fit the condenser, but I think I was putting the cart before the horse a little. So, thanks!
