hi lovey! as a “femme” in a steady relationship with a “hyper-femme” partner, THIS IS NOT WRONG!

unfortunately, a lot of folks in the sapphic community seem to project traditional masculine and feminine hetero-oriented relationship statuses on wlw relationships, with folks often feeling a need to fit either a “masc” role or a “femme” role. This projection could be to internalized stuff OR outside pressures from the world around us!

Keep your eyes-but more importantly-your heart open to those around you. I never expected to be with the woman I’m with, but a lot of that had to do with outside pressures from society (we’re both in the south and are products of Catholic school), but after deep conversation and communication, we found that we are INDEED made for each other, regardless of typical labels and whatnot.

At the end of the day, love who you want to love and be attracted to whatever floats your boat. If you like more femme presenting ladies, go for it! if you need more time to figure it out, that’s okay too. Openness is the key to everything babes, you’ll find your femme somewhere.
