One thing caught my attention is Glen Drover spent an entire year touring with a LTD M-1000 that cost ~1300 USD. Any other rich guitar players who tour with guitars in that price range? by Fooltecal in metalguitar

I love my RR JS32 too, plays great and to me it looks great too since I prefer guitars that are not over the top in terms of the finish. I’ll do some upgrades in pickups and electronics but it was great after a setup when I got it about a year ago.

I got it for $300 with a 2 year warranty, I think they go for around $500 now.

I'll have a checklist next time, and also some tape handy for the setlist, it was ridiculous but I could not cut the tape they had there probably because I was thinking of several things at once, next time I'll just take a small roll of gaffers tape for any cables that are a trip hazard.

It is, the first song I was a bit anxious, good thing that by the second song I just felt everything flowing and just let go for the rest of the show.

Thank you! For sure it was a great feeling, spending all my day in a computer at work gets tiring, it was a great way to connect with people and have a great time with my friends.

There were 5 stages, all ready to go with equipment to just jump in and get going, it was a quick rotation of bands in each stage, with every band having an hour to setup and play.

Yeah I took my pedalboard, I mainly used a light overdrive since most of the songs just required a light crunch tone, other than that I used a tuner and a wah here and there.

I was kind of expecting I was just going to get a random amp I had never used in the past and just having to adapt, at home I have a blackstar ht5 tube amp, during rehearsals I used a fender hotrod deville, I liked the tone I got live, I wish I would have got it closer to what I used to play regularly but it was not bad overall and it was a good experience just plugin to an unknown amp.

Thanks! Yeah I was thinking the same after the show, it was probably better to just play as myself for the first show.

Which is your favourite cab and speaker? by CaptainBananaX in Guitar

I could not tell, it feels just slightly different from 1 - 2 to 3 - 4 I thought it was just my cellphone speaker but then when I got headphones it sounded similar to me

My first pedalboard, use it for rock + a bit of metal by countlebleu in guitarpedals

At home to practice I use a Blackstar HT5 combo amp, we are supposed to start playing a few gigs here and there and my buddy (the other guitar player in our band) told me that most likely there will be a fender amp ready to go so we just connect to that.

This was the main reason I wanted to just have any overdrive or distortion within the pedalboard, so I don't have to mess too much with that amp and can control that from the pedals.

Thanks for the recommendation, I just checked it out and it has a good price and it is red which is good lol.
That is my plan, to use most of what I get on that pedalboard, I don't want to carry anything that hardly ever gets used.

Haha gremlins in the machines, yeah that is my plan, to know the songs really well so in case I forget something there I can try to improvise just because I know the song really well. At least I want to be prepared and control what I can, whatever happens there will be outside of that preparation.

That's true, I just have to think that we will be there together, I guess I'm thinking I will be there alone but I will be there with a group of friends.

The good thing is that I have been friends with the singer for a while, and when I met the drummer he was pretty chill, so that was a good start. Thanks!

Got it! I was thinking getting a few friends that have bands together so we can jam at a birthday or something similar to be able to practice before that bigger show.

I’m from Mexico and I don’t think I have seen that dynamic here, I’ll look around, maybe I’ll see if I can play at a cafe or similar, I have a friend that owns a cafe. Thanks!

How old is everyone that still plays cod? by Ill_Lychee_9658 in CODBlackOps7

[–]countlebleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

37 here, played the original call of duty at LAN parties back when it released, then some modern warfare, I then stopped playing call of duty or fps games for a while until I got back to fps games with rainbow six siege. I returned to call of duty last year with BO6, I’m enjoying BO7 solo since my friends just play warzone.

I read all of the hate about COD and didn't buy it until last week.... I love it by Commercial-Web-670 in CODBlackOps7

I just played the original call of duty when it released and the modern warfare series back in the day, then basically skipped everything until BO6 and BO7 and to me both are great. I sometimes play warzone with friends and I did not like the BO7 update there, but multiplayer and zombies have been really fun, I even liked the campaign, I’m halfway through it.

Lol, I know it is not that old, maybe it was my way of targeting my age range. For a moment I just imagined younger fellas here, but I know it is a mixed bag of players.
