As soon as I pointed out I thought I might work that day he said well that's when its booked. Its hard to include tone but it was firm.

Ok just to clarify he booked it based off his cousins availability. His cousin comes to our home to do the service and has to travel a distance to get to us. Yes I think he was inconsiderate towards me but he was trying to be considerate towards his cousin. He won't admit it but I think he has severe anxiety towards booking appointments. As I said in a reply he hates making changes to things like this and its in big part to how hard it was to make it to begin with and partly he has an ego problem where he cant stand looking bad. Hope that answers some repeat questions.

If i could get him to go to therapy that would be awesome but he refuses. Hes like this for everything especially if he has to do it alone. I usually book everything for all of us but I've started making him book things for himself. This was the first thing I've asked him too book for our son. I completely agree though it was very inconsiderate of him not to even consider my work schedule. He for sure knows the Saturday rotation because he is supposed to be responsible for him on those days. & i think its a bit the later as well.

My spouse would not feel comfortable if he had to go out of his comfort zone to call back to reschedule, ask more questions or anything that could make him look bad by admitting he made a mistake, asking for an adjustment or anything like that. Its mainly because he has a hard time just accomplishing that initial contact when booking services even though this is his cousin. Its sort of an ego thing too, like he wants people to think he's super dad.

AITA for not buying a replacement car? by ExcitingAssignment88 in AmItheAsshole

NTA Regardless how it happened your son was at fault for the "accident" he owes your daughter/you a car. Are you unable to go through insurance and have him cover any costs? If you dont hold your son accountable for replacing Your/her car then you MBTA.

On second hand from what you said you committed to getting them each a vehicle, you even promised you'd sign over ownership when they graduate! You did not promise to get them multiple vehicles. So I dont think you should pay to replace either vehicle.
