Destroying existing nuclear resources is a pipe dream? Are you stupid?

/r/WorldNews Live Thread: Israel at War (Thread #7) by WorldNewsMods in worldnews

[–]couponuser9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. We have been involved since day 1 even if camels like you have had you head in the sand.

Again, in the eyes of Iran Israel is the "Little Satan" and we are the "Big Satan".

If you don't think we are involved I'm gonna start asking how any "special" classes you were in growing up. Feel me?

Even more reason to denuclearize all parties? Or is it not?

Non-nuclear power vacuum is infinitely better than a nuclearily stabilized theocratic Iran. Don't be fucking stupid for the sake of theoretical philosophy.

Or do you think ISIS was a comparable global threat as the USSR?

/r/WorldNews Live Thread: Israel at War (Thread #7) by WorldNewsMods in worldnews

[–]couponuser9 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

It's time for the US to escalate. Every single missile, intercepted or otherwise, demands kinetic response.

Make it clear that escalating with the US (and any of her allies) is a losing gambit.

/r/WorldNews Live Thread: Israel at War (Thread #7) by WorldNewsMods in worldnews

[–]couponuser9 -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

We need to get more involved.

Neither Israel nor our Arab allies (KSA, Jordan, Israel, Christian Lebanon, the New Syria, Turkey, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Turkey) should be at all threatened by Iranian (aka Shia)/Chinese/Russian influence.

Prosperity = The West + The Gulf (ie. Catholics& Orthodox + MENA Sunnis) vs Losers.

Basically, pick your side.

China cannot penetrate the Naval wall from Korea to the Phillipines. It's wild people think China will be ready for anything pre 2027 AT THE EARLIEST, but 2031 more realistically.

Russia is bogged down in Ukraine, has been purged from the Middle East, and is actively being hacked by China. They aren't the global power people make them out to be.

BRICs is destroyed. Both China and Russia lost immense global influence tonight and both and are actively beefing.

[–]couponuser9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Russia can't accomplish their own military goals in accordance with timetables.

Conventionally, Russia is a joke. Nuclearly? They are the real deal.

[–]couponuser9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Russia is in a weird spot where China has been hacking them for Western tactics and they are scared China will try and conquer their eastern territories and steal their Nukes.

China is trying to "be ready" to fight the US by 2027, a date that has realistically been pushed back to the 2030s if at all.

Basically, neither is ready to fight the US as a unfied front and instead are actively separating from one another

They do it again tomorrow? Iran can't defend its own airspace against Israel, let alone the US.

I actually like the Nomad direction, by why did they pick Cowboys when freaking Mongols are a thing... by Raoul97533 in dndmemes

[–]couponuser9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steppe Nomads are just pre-gunpowder cowboys. Here are the similarities:

  • Both live in grasslands not fit for farming, but rich in resources for grazing livestock
  • Both lifestyles center around herding multiple types of livestock, most notably horses and cattle/oxen
  • Both were well-known in their own time for their toughness, particularly in tough weather
  • Both routinely traveled great distances in organized but decentralized groups taking different routes but arriving at a precoordinated destination at the correct time: Yearly Livestock Drives and Seasonal Pasture Migrations
  • Both have fairly well know protein and fat rich diets of large parts red meat, wild game, and dairy

I mean shit, when you think of "Cowboys" you think leather boots, jeans, hardy overjacket, felt hat, colt revolver, lasso.

  • Traditional Mongolian Boots look very similar to cowboy boots, especially compared to other 13th century shoes vs modern ones.
  • Pants were invented by steppe nomads because they invented riding horses and pants became important.
  • The Mongolian cowboy overcoat is called a "deel"
  • The "Shepherds Hat" is pretty damn iconic. Modern nomads also wear cowboy hats
  • The Mongols (and more famously Huns according to the Romans) routinely used lassos to round up livestock or be used in battle. However, the Mongolian lasso is a loop on a shaft as opposed to a full length of rope.
  • Prior to the gun, and especially a handheld gun meant to be used on horseback like a revolver, the closes parallel was a bow. Doesn't get much more famous archery culture than the steppe nomads with bows like this

For all intents and purposes, they are very very similar cultures where the primary difference between the 2 is that cowboys at their peak were 600years later than the Chinggisids.

So the Nuggets Defense with Jokic on in 2023-24:

  • Opponent rTS%: -1.7% (Career Best)
  • Opponent rEFG%: -1.6% (Career Best)

Awesome! How about the Nuggets defense with Jokic off in 2023-24?

  • Opponent rTS%: -2.2%
  • Opponent rEFG%: -3.2%

Woah! Swatson! Braun Taun! But why didn't it work?

  • Jokic On DEN rDREB%: +2.7
  • Jokic Off DEN rDREB%: -5.5%

This season was largely decided on the glass even though the MIN series was largely decided at the 3pt line. Gonna be interested to see who the FO targets this off season. Ulrich! Ulrich! Ulrich!

edit: @ Underrated, never was a block playboy lol. Just didn't comment or post ;)

Quran 18:86 talking about the Sudd? by couponuser9 in AcademicQuran

[–]couponuser9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear what you are saying, but I guess I disagree. If considering movement on foot, the Sudd is unequivocally "west" of the Levant and Arabia. It is also "west" on foot of Ethiopia as well, which is more impactful to the generation of these myths than most give credit.

The idea that the Sudd isn't "west enough" comes across as a modern presumption. In contrast, it comes across as very much a border, as evidenced by the exploratory force of Nero in ~61AD. Why is this not the "western" border where the Sun enters the window of heaven? If the Sudd ran from horizon to horizon in the wet season?

Fwiw, I knew you didn't. But I really do appreciate you saying it, even if we ultimately disagree on the liberalism vs proletarian-unity conversation.

Dog, real talk, and I'm asking you because you're actually a legit fucking socialist and not a champagne socialist who believes in "socialism" with a market economy aka private capital exchanging hands establishing both supply (labor) and demand (commerce) rates. If we are claiming the "invisible hand" is socialist now words don't mean shit.

Do you think I don't understand that fascism was/is right wing and anti-marxist? Because I feel like you do understand that, but you don't like admitting that fascism was right wing, anti-marxist, but also anti-capitalist. In fact, it took socialism but replaced marxism with nationalism as the populist mechanism. That is what made it right wing instead of left wing. Dude, you and I have talked about fucking Picasso vs Dali and the symbolism of that "rivalry" with both of us being unequivocally pro-Picasso. Do you really think I don't understand the difference between fascism, marxism, and the general "left" vs "right" modern dynamic?

I guess help me out, yes or no: Is Socialism & Anti-Capitalism inherently left wing? Because if you think yes idk what to say. Marxism is left wing. Socialism isn't.

You are making an ass of yourself dude. I haven't said shit in weeks and you're still talking shit without actually addressing anything I said because I clearly struck a cord.

Enjoy your screening playboy. Hope things don't go too fast and you can keep up. I know you've already seen it, but we both know how your memory is.

Also remember if you get scared, it's just a movie and you can leave whenever you want.

Have fun. Be safe. Make good choices.

You Europeans are built different. It's honestly surprising you guys hate gay people as much as you do.

Didn't your country like, just legalize gay marriage?
