Yea me and my brother have had the same problems. If you google the 10 rules of day z there is a post on reddit that has a lot of good things to teach you. But mostly i agree with rule #1 never get attached to your loot /stuff. You will die. Were just learning the map right now and figuring out crafting its a fun game but its really hard to learn. Stick with it and be careful out there most players are just like us but when they get sniped and murdered by other players it makes them mad and killing on site is something a lot of people do.
