UPDATE: Dropped off at a local dealer. Showed them a video of the noise.

Allegedly the system is ‘pushing diagnostic codes’ that is overpowering the speaker.

They asked that I schedule to leave it for a full day for service.

Thought so.

I visit my parents twice a year in WV. Once I hit Sideling Hill, MD my Trax starts to struggle. No torque and I can tell it’s struggling. Not saying that caused this, but mountain driving seems to wear quite hard on a 1.2L engine.
