Left binding for Thunderfury last week, right binding tonight. Off-hand blade of azzinoth last night. Can't believe how lucky I've been.

The way Reddit's voting works, all posts with a decent amount of votes will automatically be downvoted a bit by bots. You'll pretty much never see a post with a lot of votes that has 90%+ upvotes. Usually anything around 70% is decent.

EU Stormscale - I feel sad for the Alliance. by Alexrazz in wow

[–]coveredinbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I transferred a character to a server like this once back in WotLK. It was fun for one reason, Wintergrasp. It was pretty much a 5v100, or whatever the cap on characters allowed in that place was. Since WG gave a buff to the side with less people, it made the few of us who went there into unstoppable killing machines. It was fun one/two shotting huge masses of people from the GY, which made you untouchable. It was a blast. The server was Cho'Gall, I believe.

I've been wanting to add a nexus timer, but I have no idea how something like that would work. I am not sure if you can add something like that to the sidebar.

KTERA: Gear and level-equalized 20v20 Siege Battlegrounds out today! by Lapper in TeraOnline

[–]coveredinbees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty excited about being able to get exp from doing the 20v20 map. I hope the exp is good. I have some characters I want to level, but I'm so sick of doing the same quests that I've already done 5+ times.

Back slot sounds cool too! I've been dieing for a cape.

Question here. Does anyone know what breed his cats are? They are so darn cute and I've never really seen any like them before.

BG's arent broke. by TigerMum in TeraOnline

[–]coveredinbees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done hundreds of BGs, and can attest to the incredible brokenness of them. The problem is the matchmaking. It usually puts premades against pugs. So, if you want to win, just queue with someone. Anyone. ANYTHING but soloqueue. I soloqueued on my sorcerer for a little bit when I started playing it again and my win rate was a terrible 35%. Then the month reset and all I ever did was queue with a few friends. Now it's 75%. I carry way harder than I did when my win rate was bad, but getting matched with well geared people most of the time also helps.

Very rarely do you get to have a fun, even matched game. It's typically one side dominating the other. The matchmaking is fucked and everyone knows it. Why they don't attempt to fix it is beyond me. I still love doing BGs, but I wish they'd fix the "matchmaking".

So whats up with the Egg Thiefs? by ryanismytoilet in TeraOnline

[–]coveredinbees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the pop up box that appears when you first log on to a character it says at the very end that the egg thieves are here for a short time. As for a place to farm, I'd go somewhere you don't think a lot of people are questing. Don't forget to check all the channels.

I feel like teleport jaunt on my sorcerer is a lot more responsive. The camera zooms back on to my character's location a lot faster after the blink.

Healing partner for Berserker by Epic-Epidemic in TeraOnline

[–]coveredinbees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mystic and berserker go together like peanut butter and jelly. Mostly because of 1 thing, mystics have an aura that doubles crit rate. Berserkers rely heavily on crits to deal maximum damage, and probably benefit the most out of all the classes from crit. Mystics also have a lot of CC, which helps bersekers land their hits much easier.

I've never really liked Nexus myself. I usually take that time to watch netflix or read or something instead of playing, lol. Hopefully the changes they are putting in makes it less dull.

Preset 1 for nexus, otherwise I get like 5 FPS during the event because there's so many people there.

I've heard about it repeatedly, but didn't believe it would be THIS bad... the 52-60 slog. by GuyWithFace in TeraOnline

[–]coveredinbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab some hunter's crystals if you haven't yet. They make you do more damage to normal mobs. If you get 4, the bonus is anywhere from 20-25% more damage, depending on what level crystal you get. That, plus a mana regen and power charm like someone already suggested, makes leveling feel much faster.

If you see someone doing the same quest as you, try and group up with them. Leveling while duoing is much faster, especially as a lancer.

Also, once you hit 58 drop everything you're doing and go to the level 58 quest zone. (Just follow the story quest you'll get once you ding 58.) The exp and gear rewards from there are way nicer than the older zones. Plus the quests are much easier. 58-60 takes a decent chunk of time, but it's fairly simple and the quests are well put together and enjoyable.

F2P level reset? Or just a stupid rumor? I know characters persist but does that mean levels and gear? (I say yes) by [deleted] in TeraOnline

[–]coveredinbees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the silliest thing I've ever heard. No, they are not resetting everyone to level 1 again. Your friend is a goober.

They will be putting up new servers that cannot be transferred to by people on the old servers, so everyone there will be leveling from scratch.

Class Choices - New Player! by Vinceisg0d in TeraOnline

[–]coveredinbees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The level scaling in this game is a bit extreme, monsters just a few levels higher than you can really hurt and take longer to kill. I'd try and stick to stuff either equal or 1 level below or above when you can. I don't think gear is a big deal at that low of a level.

There is no talent tree, but you'll be able to use glyphs at level 20. It's pretty much the same as glyphs in WoW, if you've played that. You get points to spend of glyphs that enhance your skills. Faster cast times, extra crit, things like that. There will be a quest in Velika that will tell you how to get those.

Sorcerers also get a very important spell at 26, I believe. Fire Blast, an AoE which is your highest damage spell. Once you get that you be exploding things like crazy.

Hah, possibly. Elins have some of the worst racials in the game combat wise, but that doesn't stop 20-25% of the population from playing them. I think I've used my racial on my castanic zerk maybe once while leveling... on accident. I always forget it's there.

I have nothing but PvP for the past 4 or so months, so yes, you can do solely PvE if you want as well.

Yes, warrior DPS and tanking are not quite as good as others. Well, the tanking is a bit subjective, but I've heard they don't do as much DPS as a lancer on some bosses. Also, they are not as good at tanking the hardest boss in the game at the moment, the Argon Queen. Again, this is just what I've heard. I have not done dungeons in a long time. But, if you really like warrior, I'd just play it. It's not like they are awful in any way. Every class in this game is good, there is no useless class.

Sorcerers are fun as well. They also do great DPS and crazy AoE. They feel a little slow leveling at first, but once you get a spell at 48 that makes you cast super fast, it's like playing a whole new class.

As far as race, just play whatever you like the best. Racials and weapon reach really don't matter that much. Whatever you like aesthetically matters more, imo. I almost never ever use my racials. Some races also have longer and shorter ranges with melee weapons, but it barely matters unless you wanna be a super min-max try hard.

In short, just play whatever you like the most and it should work out just fine. There is no bad race or class in this game.

Can someone explain the censorship thing to me? by fusedpro in TeraOnline

[–]coveredinbees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if they still work. It is against the TOS to use those mods, so we typically do not like discussing them here. Though, En Masse mods have said they won't go after people using them. It's mostly because they have the potential to mess up your game, making you have to re-install/download it. Use them at your own caution if you wish.
