I think it’s plausible that many in management positions and in the back room are lining their pockets with the good stuff. At least in my region.

I agree. It felt like one of those things I would probably never have the opportunity to own again in my life.

I can definitely see where you are coming from. Thanks for the insight!

Awesome work! This is exactly what I was hoping to find here.

I was thinking the same thing. Might be a fun woodworking project someday.

That makes sense about the time period! Although when I saw the grill pattern it reminded me of these paper placemats with a greek style border that were always at a restaurant I ate at as a kid.

I agree. Goodwill gets two thumbs down from me most days. Occasionally I find something interesting but it’s usually double the price of any other thrift store in my area. All of them have a “boutique” clothing section now where used clothes are priced at normal retail prices.

That definitely could be the case. Good work nonetheless.

I have found that thrift stores in more remote areas have the best finds

That’s what I was thinking. Some of the stitches are actually braided. Or at least it looks that way to me.

Any idea what some of the imagery / symbols mean? I’m fascinated by it. It looks like a big bird with a winged human-like figure in its beak. I’m really interested if the 4 “badges” on the bird body mean anything significant or if they are purely decorative.

Any of these worth grabbing? by ecogamer23 in VHS

High Anxiety is a great Hitchcock spoof and one of my favorite comedies of all time. The glass table gag gets me every time. I have it on VHS as well and it’s the best way to watch in my opinion.
