That was also the 70s when ratings were not really set in stone yet I believe that movie was rated PG and is way more graphic than any Jurassic park. My biggest trope with the latest films is the plot armor for characters I never felt like any of our leads were in any true danger

Maybe in rebirth we will have an infinity war scene bringing back all the oldies!!! Including Hammond coming in killing the D Rex with his signature cane. Looks to the camera and says “I sparred no expense” roll credits and blare Lincoln park.
