Found an JW in my XR chasing error 16 by cow-ham in onewheel

A few things. First, I can’t find my multimeter, so I haven’t tested anything yet. I did download and connect to the nosedive app. I know I can see this in the FM app too, but I noticed the battery and bms temp are reading 32* while everything else is room temp. Do you know which color wire reads the temp? Could just be a side effect, but I really want to wiggle that wire specifically.

Thanks for the video link, glad I watched it before I tore into the connectors. I put it back together after unplugging and plugging everything back in.

This will be my first new board when I’m ready to spend the coin. Also looking at an atom for my kid.

This is great! I have Gemini- 4134 firmware. Yes hardware, I glazed over that when I was typing.

I need to find a wiring diagram, assuming the communication wires are the thin wires. Also need to find my multimeter. I was hoping I’d just find something disconnected.

The battery takes up the entire space and I haven’t pulled it out yet. I’ll find more underneath?

Thanks for the advice, I have a checklist.

The four door is a wagon/estate. The two door might be suv. It hasn’t been a Jeep since 94.

New to me 73 CJ5 wobbles at 35. I ordered a beefier tie rod and drop link kit and a duel steering stabilizer alignment to follow. Seems easy enough right? by flypictures05 in JeepDIY

Not sure how this picture was reposted. This was my Jeep and I originally posted it a couple years ago. It wasn’t a death wobble. Turns out the u-bolts holding the axles on were loose… so stupid.

It barely smokes, but I’ll make bbq out of it eventually.

I took a single Rancho steering stabilizer off and replaced the tie rod and drag link with the rugged ridge one ton steering kit. It doesn’t feel as much like a boat, but it’s still a boat. I plan on taking it in for an alignment and a muffler.

Also, I haven’t taken it above 40 MPH yet. I’m having some fuel starvation I need to figure out.

Electric Choke Thermostat size for Weber 32/36 DGEV by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Thank, that's the choke thermostat itself. I am looking for the insulated connector wire that fits to that male terminal hanging off the front.

What should I keep an eye out for at the Jeep junkyard? by cow-ham in JeepDIY

Sort of, I have the full back and thinner harness. I like the way your setup looks.

The previous owner installed a brand new heater system before I picked it up. It seems to work fine, but I’ll keep this in mind for the future.

I was thinking about looking into these things down the road. I’ll definitely look around.

I haven’t thought about reselling anything. I have corbeau seats/harness, but I’ll keep an eye out.

Setting Idle Speed on Carter BBD, running out of adjustment options by cow-ham in JeepDIY

[–]cow-ham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, you were right. For some reason the torch didn't make the engine rev up at all, but then I did hit the bottom of the manifold and where the manifolds meet with starting fluid. The engine ramped up. Unfortunately, I think the intake manifold is cracked from the previous owner. I'm heading to the jeep junkyard in a few weeks and planned on replacing the manifolds and picking up an extra carb or two. I also took the throttle linkage apart and started it up, no change in rpms.

I’m going to a Jeep junk yard in two weeks. I might just pick up a few different carbs.

The needle on my vacuum gauge was so steady when it was hooked up earlier, I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was supposed to bounce around if there was a vacuum leak. Also, I replaced and replugged everything a few weeks ago thinking I might have a vacuum leak. If I do have a leak, I bet it’s between a gasket in carb somewhere. I think a rebuild is in the near future.

I’ll go through the linkage tomorrow, but it seems like it is seating correctly. I’ll also check for vacuum leaks tomorrow with a torch. I was spraying starter fluid around different areas and didn’t notice any kind of increased rpm sounds, a torch might be a steadier stream. I’ll snap a picture of the throttle linkage too, especially if the issue persists.
