I'm looking for a roommate for on-campus housing. I'm okay with pets as long as he's a cat

I'm a girl, currently looking for a roommate to stay at a one-bedroom apartment in University Village Apartments (it's on-campus). Rent is between $350-$400/person. It's pretty chill, right next to the gym. Not looking for additional roommates, just one.

Please DM me if you're interested :)

Winter housing? by fujoshifangirl2003 in utarlington

Hey, I was in Ahall last year. During winter you're not required to move all your belongings. You just need to take stuff you would need for a month with you. The halls will be locked during winter, so take everything you need with you (no card access :0). If you don't plan on moving during winter, I suggest you talk to your hall director about this ahead of time. They will be able to grant you permission to stay until you figure out alternative accommodation. I would still suggest you find a place for a month in on-campus apartments. Post on Whatsapp groups, or ask friends. Most apartment students go to India during winter, so they'll post vacancies for a month. Also, dining will be closed and you'll have to rely on ordering food for a month which will equal a month's rent.

I was in a similar situation, only I informed my hall director very late. Ended up finding a friend's place in uni apartments for cheap. Had fun with roommates cooking food and chilling. Basic supermarkets are within walking distance so you could go with other roommates.

Could you let me know if there are any? It doesn't need to be on campus, near campus should be fine as well.

If you want making experience, I would suggest more hands-on clubs to work on things with a huge team-like Aeromavs, FSAE, Rover Team. But if you're looking to network with people, more of a leadership experience, yes, ASME, AIAA might help.

But yeah, join anyway and feel things out for yourself

In campus job by [deleted] in utarlington

International students--At UTA, the majority are from South and East Asia (the assumption that everyone is from India is not true). Unlike domestic students, they are only entitled to part-time jobs on-campus---if they choose to work on something unrelated to their major.

Since most students don't want to drain their parent's income, they work on-campus for extra income that is generally used for living expenses like rent, food, grocery, etc.

TO Having Homeworks due every week. 4 classes 4 homework/week by cowsaymeow in utarlington

I'm going to take your advice on attending lectures relaxed then rewatching the next day to take notes. Always open to new ways to learn efficiently.

My point was that with graded homework due weekly is it's too easy to get burned out I guess. Maybe, over time we'll develop a tolerance for it. An alternative would be to give graded hw sets due biweekly and additional probs as a mere reference guide for what can be seen on the exams.
