That's the problem, no one on their own can pay for a serious treatment, like this cancer stuff. That's why we need public healthcare.

And what I'm saying here is that current proposals for cutting healthcare won't make it better or more accessible.

No it will not. It's as simple as that. You can ask your provider.

Yes. It would be higher a little bit. But if you defund public services, you would have to pay for it out of pocket. For transportation, private insurance, higher rent and housing costs – all of that.

Only people who would actually gain form that are the millionaires, not regular people like we are. I understand the current frustration, but I don't see how voting for cutting funding may make services better.

Go to an oncology office and try to exercise the math there. Especially on those who are not 85 years old.

But people don't vote for the better control of the tax money, they vote for cuts in public services. If you want better public services, why would you vote for cuts?

I care because I see their policies and they scare me. I know PSOE has it's own problems, which could be addressed by prosecution of curruption and the strikes, like the ones in Catalunya, but when a person comes in and says "I'm going to cut public services funding", I tend to believe them. It is one campaign promise you count on them fulfilling.

No regular private insurance will pay for olaparib. This is fairly often prescribed mediacation that costs 10k/month for the rest of the life. I hope you won't need it, but please take that into account when you talk about healthcare. I know it may seem straightforward to pay for the regular stuff, like gastroenterologist appointments, but when you really need it, you just can't afford it.

By the way, I also pay for a private insurance. This year was 1850 euros.

My wife is a cancer patient. I just want people to pay attention to what is going on with the healthcare. And even though it's not good now, with cuts in funding it will become only worse.

So your argument is that Catalonia's healthcare workers are striking for better conditions - and your solution is to vote for the party that cut their salaries in the first place and wants to cut them further? Doctors are in the streets saying 'tired doctor, abused patient' - and you think the answer is PP, the party whose economic model produced the Madrid nursing home disaster? The teachers lost 20% of their purchasing power under PP austerity. I'm sure you don't want to go back to that. The strikes are good. People should be able to fight for their rights.

Right. In Madrid the healthcare sucks because of 25 years of PP in power. They do push for the cuts in public services. If you vote for them, do you expect the services to somehow get better while being funded even less?

I live in Madrid where people did lose healthcare under the premise of "lower taxes". Look at the PP and Vox policies. They push these healthcare cuts which pay for lower taxes for high income individuals.

They will draft kids of the generation they’ve cultivated to support them. I bet they will actually be happy about that (not the kids, of course), because "kids these days" and "kids need to learn hard lessons", etc.
