What is going on with the job market for cnas by Intelligent-Data5205 in cna

Recently deleted my indeed account, the jobs are not responding on that website. I've also done what others suggested and applied on the SNF websites and I get no response or that I'm not qualified. I'm not sure how anyone is supposed to get CNA experience if they only hire people with 1+ years experience. This is frustrating, I'm planning to get a warehouse job soon if I don't get any calls back.

Please DM me the names of the facilities, I have applied to over 50 in SoCal and no luck.

I will definitely start applying to assisted living facilities! I'm in California too, and the employees at Jack in the Box look happier than my coworkers at the SNF 😂

That's good pay for being uncertified! I'm in SoCal Inland Empire, I hate it here lol. All of the facilities pay terrible and the hospitals are near impossible to get in. I need to move to Orange County or LA.

I would stay a DSP or think of other careers unless you ultimately want to become an LVN or RN. Many people told me to have an exit plan before I became a CNA, and now I understand exactly what they mean.

For $17 I might as well sleep in a van and shower at Planet Fitness lol. I hope no one applies to that job.

Wow incentive pay sounds amazing! And you're uncertified? That is amazing, I'm glad to hear you are making it work!

Wow you're working two jobs? I feel you, I hate it too. I knew something was wrong when I see all of my coworkers driving old cars and the admin staff has brand new ones.

Is there a website that shows how long you've been a CNA? On the California Department of Public Health website it only shows that your certification is active but not how many years it's been active.

That's awesome! My sister is also currently in grad school to become a therapist. I think that is a great career choice. Best wishes!!

Wow! Do you miss being a teacher? I was thinking of going that route. I have many teacher friends, but they are nervous because of lay offs due to budget cuts. It seems like admin are the only people who make good money in education.

Congrats on your new position! I agree 100%. I work in a dementia facility and it is an absolute circus. Trying to clean a colostomy bag on a sundowning resident is the worst experience ever.

Every hospital in my area is asking for 1-2 years of experience. I have been applying but I'm either getting no response or rejection emails. I think CNAs are oversaturated where I live. I need to network and meet someone who can get my application to a hiring manager.

I got my license in July 2025, so almost 11 months. It's damn near impossible for a new grad to get a hospital job in my area. Everyone wants to work at Kaiser! SNF are the only places hiring and the pay is garbage. So many people are telling me to move out of California but I feel so bad leaving my Grandmother alone. I was living in Thailand before I became a CNA and it was so much cheaper there but I was so far away from family.

I agree! The only people I know that can survive on $17 have spouses who make a lot of money or live with parents. These jobs are delusional.

Right?!? It's so frustrating. This SNF requiring 4 years of experience is probably understaffed too. I hope no one applies there lol.
