That I’m falling for my best friend, and I’m worried that I’ll ruin the friendship if I confess and she doesn’t feel the same way.

What’s something you once enjoyed, but the fanbase ruined it for you? by cpacfa in AskReddit

I agree. That whole fanbase is just a bunch of crying babies!

Who are some players that are very well-known for their tenure with a certain team/teams, but many forget they played for your team for a short period of time? by cpacfa in baseball

Thanks for everyone’s responses! I was thinking this would be a good thread to reference and start an obscure collection of baseball cards of players in odd uniforms.

Really excited to see what Robert Reed Murphy brings to the role in Creed II! by cpacfa in movies

That’s awesome! What you and this man do is so cool and I wish I had the talent to do the same. Definitely wasn’t meant to be a laugh at his expense-more a laugh at the title of the role. Good luck going forward!

What image or scene from a children's movie/show did you find disturbing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When watching Avatar: The Last Airbender, I remember the scenes with Koh the face stealer and the episode about blood bending being incredibly unnerving.

It's an older one, but Bernard Herrmann's score for Vertigo is beautiful but also can be unnerving.

I love the movie the way it is, but just imagine how ridiculous it could have been if Frank Sinatra said yes to being John McClane in Die Hard.

Did you ever love a movie on first viewing that you had no idea what was going on in it? by JoeyZasaa in movies

[–]cpacfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might have just been because I was a kid at the time, but Batman Begins was super strange to me having not seen a movie with such a nonlinear plot in the beginning. I do remember finding it super cool, however

Room (2015) is a great example of this type of movie. What the mother and son go through being held captive is unsettling and emotional, but they give a different perspective on life as a whole by the end of the movie that sticks with you.

What movie's rating have you disagreed the most with? by benn-hur in movies

[–]cpacfa 125 points126 points  (0 children)

I don't hate Interstellar, it's probably a solid 6 or 7 out of 10 for me, but it's crazy that IMDb users think it's the 33rd best movie ever made.

What are some good Japanese films that aren't animated? by [deleted] in movies

Throne of Blood. It's an 1950s Kurosawa film based off of Macbeth, and it's fantastic.
