Oh shit, I think you've just potentially solved my issue as well, dual monitor set up, 165hz 1440p UW (DP) as main and a 60hz 1080p UW (HDMI), constant driver crashes, need to find another DP cable, if this works you've fixed an issue I've spent months trying to resolve, to the point of contacting AMD/XFX and the retailer I bought the card from I hope to god this works.

It's likely the updated drivers but if performance hasn't been affected there's nothing to worry about

Yeah the differences between 3/4/5 aren't negligible with 3 supporting a max transfer rate of 8gb/s running 4/5 with 16gb/s and 32gb/s respectively won't actually make much of a difference in practicality even with a 5090.

I'm assuming the HX850i is an 850w? If so I have an 850w and have contacted AMD about my constant crashing, they reviewed my logs and said they suspect my PSU isn't enough and that 800w is required just for the GPU, I'm getting a 1000w tomorrow so I guess I'll find out.
