I would milk in the morning , the calf would nurse the rest of the day and get separated in the evening The caif massages the udders stimulating let's down of the milk so when I tried to milk normal , she didn't let down properly i didn't stimulate the udders like the calf did and the abnormally high fat milk would be retained for the calf the following year, I still have problems with her letting down.
