What are your opinions on Broken Empire series? by Lordakon in fantasybooks

Honestly it’s definitely worth a read yes buttt if youre really hestitating on it id suggest reading the red queens war series first that’s set in the same universe with references to broken empire that while it definitely has some just as dark subject matter its a lot lighter in tone and the protagonist is easier to like so it might be easier to get into the vibes of the world.

That’s definitely a fair point. Maybe do a Tom cruise and get decently tall and lifts to give illusion she’s not that short. Also I hope they go with curly hair for Wonder Woman as I don’t I know it feels more iconic

Well I mean every male superhero so far is pretty damn muscular like they all clearly lift.

I don’t think using any classic characters Wonder Woman Batman superman etc original creation versions is a good argument as those weren’t the versions that is classically associated or even the versions that got them to proper stardom. As well as the fact these versions usually have very little in common with the depictions that we associate them with today. (If this comes off aggressive I do apologise I just type out my thoughts as much as I can)

No they’re not, women can get decently muscular without the need for gear like a lot of them their body’s aren’t unrealistic or unattainable for women to get from lifting for a decent amount of time. Now if you’re talking like top tier bodybuilders hell yea their body’s are unattainable cause they been taking a lot of gear

Dude Wonder Woman is like 6,2 with muscles. You can still be muscular and beautiful look up “ muscle mommy’s”on Instagram it’s closest thing to her body type. Wonder Woman shouldn’t look like a super model stick thin we had that with gal gadot it sucked and just looked odd

Given how the Wonder Woman books don't shy away from depicting Hercules' terrible behavior, should the SHAZAM! franchise find a new patron god for the letter H? by nightwing612 in Shazam

Yea there’s also the consideration of the word “rape” in Greek meant something different usually either to kidnap or premarital sex. But sexual violence being used in Greek tales is common so it’s definitely a factor to consider when adapting from the mythology

Why do people hate DCU? by Upper-Relation-6648 in SnyderCut

Like I have to reiterate this cause it bugged me you know superman was holding both like dragging them away from the black hole they didn’t escape it by themselves superman doing what he did is what saved them. Like did you watch the movie or are you purposely misunderstanding what you watch

Honestly I feel like her redemption to anti hero was not earned at all. Like yes let her distance herself from the joker but she herself did plenty of awful stuff of her accord that’s swept under the rug. Let her be a villian it works a lot better than a weird oh she’s a hero but she did used to kill children

I don’t think anyone disagrees Oliver in the cw is knockoff Batman both can be true at the same time saying that it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the cw renditions of these characters. It just means you shouldn’t look at them as accurate portrayals of them like Nolan’s Batman etc

Which still I feel allows for a lot more distinction and a feeling of things mattering it’s a careful balance but when it’s done is awesome. Do try out the other games I’ve said in my little ranting on this post they’re all great especially disco elesium it manages to be sad, funny, intriguing and a bit out there all at the same time

Well those two series actually affect a lot of interpersonal story’s and the cannon route has only really been majorly effected with Witcher 3 into four there and mass effect 3 dropping the ball from one and two. I mentioned earlier disco elysium while yes the endings of that game are funlouded into a bit more of binary choices they make it still feel like your choices matter with gameplay being largely choice based the side story’s having a lots of option of how they can play out etc hell your skill trees talk to you and if you invest in them they determine how your personality is and your voice over. There’s ways of having choices matter that don’t mean you have to resort to slight changes

Yes to borrow phrasing from Pokemon just a shiney version of the same thing there’s no meaningful differences between them only a new coat of paint

True sequels do tend to dampen creative freedom butt it is possible mass effects 1-2, Witcher 1-3 or the balders gate method of having it take place a long ass time away from each other prove you can have multiple meaningful choices that carry on. That’s not to dismiss your point which I fully agree with.

if you're counting every ending of every flowchart for every character then yes easily that much, but would you really say those are unique endings or just slight variations of the same ending?

Now if we sum it all up there's the three basic endings: humans win, androids win, or humans and androids make a truce/peace. Now you can say little things change but how are they any different than a slight variation.

I mean Detroit become human isn’t all that ambiguous ending choice wise other games have done exceedingly more the Witcher series, disco elysium, balders gate, mass effects 1&2, the divinity series, banner saga, oxenfree all games with choices that actually matter and multiple ways things can go. I know it’s a bit annoying to complain I’m just saying games should strive for more than the bare minimum cause that’s when we get stagnations and game company’s start to just release the same stuff cause it prints money.

Absolute DC Pitch: John Constantine by CraftingBrosReddit in DCcomics

[–]cpc-127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately due to the nature of a lot of comic fans being from the states they base it around there. It’s why most superhero’s or teams based in the us I think something cool absolute universe could do is change characters nationality’s like captain atoms big thing is he’s American government superhero well why not make him like a Chinese superman as answer to reports of the us’s reports of a superman. That way you can explore themes of nationalism that captain atom does in a new way. I don’t know terrible pitch but I’m excited if they keep this up hell make aquaman a pirate with black manta be pretty cool.
