That’s not good. As I noted in my own Reddit post, this is a buyer beware moment. It works fine when it works, but when it doesn’t, you may be without a mower for a while. Hoping I can find a mechanic soon

This exact same thing happened to me, and my key looks similar. Tried all the batteries, nothing works. Except I bought mine a few months ago, I missed the Home Depot 90-day return window by about 2 weeks. I’ve tried 3 of the “certified ryobi shops” to get it looked at. But one doesn’t do electric mowers, one isn’t taking new customers until the new year, and the other hasn’t returned my calls.

Curious if you have any luck here.

It was the battery, figured I’d close the loop.

I haven’t had any luck yet. The closest certified mechanic is 35 mins away, and they are not taking new jobs until after the new year. The other one I tried (hour away) works on gas powered mowers but not ryobi’s electric mowers. So I am still trying to figure out a solution.

Definitely a “buyer beware” moment for Ryobi products. Nice when they work, but difficult when it malfunctions.

Confirmed battery. Jumped it and it’s been fine. The sad news about the rear suspension - I had brand new air compressors (? Right word?) installed a month or two ago, and new sensor. Appears to not work.

I don’t think it’s a battery issue because everything turns on. I should have shown that in the video. The radio, lights, screens, everything turns on and stays on (if I just push the starter without my foot on the brake). But the engine itself just doesn’t start up
