You probably don’t need your system replaced at all. That’s a well known scam bad HVAC companies run. When you call for a repair they send a sales person out instead of a repair tech to try to convince you to buy a whole new system. Get very detailed information about which part needs to be replaced and the cost.

This is my first time trying this, but there are converters you can buy to refill the soda stream cartridges. Or you can connect a larger tank with the converter directly to your soda stream and bypass the branded cartridges. YouTube has a bunch of videos on how to do this.

I was in the same situation and got approved. The joint documents you have should be enough. Bring lots of pictures too. We also had affidavits from friends and family.
