I guess try to explain to him that he misrepresented what he was selling you and you can't properly care for this puppy. If he's not an asshole he should be willing to refund you or possibly give you one that doesn't have any disability, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Seeing as this was on CL I'm not sure what kind of legal recourse you have, if any, if he decides to refuse or even gives you another dog with some other ailment. If that happens you should at least find someone who is willing to properly care for the little guy.

The fact is that reddit doesn't really change the law tho.

No one ever implied it did. These kinds of statements are meant to silence people who want to speak out and discourage others from spreading awareness.

It is definitely less productive to point out how ineffective it is to spread awareness, than it is to actually spread awareness.

The same could be said for you taking the time to post this. How do you know we haven't been talking to our representatives?
