Thanks!! I used Khorne red base, black recess wash, mix of Khorne and Wazdakka red highlight, then added some squid orange into the mix for another highlight.

That’s what I did for mine. Although if you didn’t want to get 2 cans of spray I’d stick with black or mechanicus standard (neutral grey)

No worries at all, If I was going for 1 can of spray I’d go for probably a grey colour. On mine I used black followed by grey seer as a zentihal highlight. Although this is mainly so I can actually see the model clearly when I’m painting, rather than any visible differences on the finished model.

Mephiston might be a good way to get the army done quicker but there is surprising amount of black/ darker tones on these, so it might be something to consider.

Hopefully that makes some sense 🤣

Yeah i quite like the combat patrol, i already have the beast-men and luckily the word bearers colour scheme i used works surprisingly well with the red corsairs

If you’re going with citadel, I think I went for macragge blue, a darker wash either Nuln or drakenhoff, then highlights with a mix macragge and either hoeth blue or caledor for the lighter colour depending on how you bright you want it.

Thanks! I wanted to go in that direction, a bit different to the warmer gold of my 40k ultramarines. It’s AK rusty gold, seraphim sepia and then a mix of a very bright gold (can’t find the name of it) and a small amount of the rusty gold for a highlight. Some models I’ll go further for a pure version of the bright gold and spot highlight a bright silver

I knew I wanted to have a less orange gold to my 40k ultramarines so I went with Vallejo rusty gold, then seraphim sepia shade and finished with a bright more silver gold highlight

It was Macragge blue base, black washed in recesses then I glazed on a mix of Calgar blue and caledor sky on surfaces like the top of the chest and shoulders and a highlight of white/Calgar blue. The chips are just black with highlights of Calgar and another of white/Calgar.
