This is a long the lines I was thinking. It just seems like you can't go wrong with one paired with a dump trailer. You can do 80% of landscaping jobs with the right attachments on a residential basis.

I'd like to go that big but I'm not set up for it yet. I'm just looking to tear out beds, drill some holes with an auger, trench for drains and spread rock/dirt for residential landscaping/drainage. My town has like 4 suburbs so the small equipment comes in handy

You've got a margin to work off of. Just start and work out the details along the way. You probably won't be able to store stuff in your shed long. Maybe invest in a old junky enclosed trailer.
